Peacefully at Tairua Residential Care with family at his side, on 25th September, 2020; in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of Beverley for 62 years. Much loved father of Christine, David, Anne-Marie, Paul, Nicola, Catherine, Rebecca, and their partners. Loved Poppa of Olivia and Sarah, Sam, Hannah and Alex; Oscar; Caitlin, Amelia, Imogen and Ellen; Vinnie and Rosa. Loved Great-Poppa of 9 (almost 10) great-grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Bennett Drive, Tairua, on Tuesday 29th September at 10am, followed by interment at Tairua Cemetery.


WILLIAMSON, John James (Jim)

Peacefully passed away on 24 September 2020, at Palmerston North Hospital, surrounded by his family. Cherished husband of Rosalyn, loving father and father-in-law of Derryn and Chris Hunt, Phillip and Karen, Christopher and Julianne. Also dearest Grandfather of Hannah, Emily, Chloe, Renee, Amelia, Benjamin, and Isabel. Messages to the Williamson C/- 280 Kimbolton Road, Feilding. ELLERY, Ian Yates

Passed unexpectedly doing what he loved, working on the farm with his dogs alongside him. Loved husband of Margaret, son of John & Ata Ellery and brother of Sara, and their families. A celebration of Ian’s life will be held at Hamilton Park Cemetery Main Chapel, 395 Morrinsville Road, Newstead, Hamilton, on Wednesday 30 September 2020 at 11.00am.


PIJNENBURG, Roger Martin

Passed peacefully on September 25, 2020, at Ngaio Marsh Retirement Village, Christchurch; aged 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Anne, loved father and father-in-law of Craig and Bridget, Mark, Scott and Rebecca. Loved brother and brother-in-law of the Pijnenburg and Sanford families. Special thanks all the staff at Ngaio Marsh for their love, care and support shown to Roger during his stay. Messages to the Pijnenburg family, c/o PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. McCARTHY, Russell Graham Joseph

Passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 24, 2020, aged 77 years. Respected brother to all of his siblings, loved father to Julie, Mark, Steven, Emma, Karen, Michael, Mary and Caitlin, well loved by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of Russell’s life will be held at the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel, corner Linwood Avenue and Keighleys Road, on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 2.00pm. KEOGH, Chrissie ‘Mammy’ (née Mooney)

Of Island Bay, Wellington. Born 4 January 1926, formerly of Ballyshane, Rathangan, County Kildare, Ireland. Died 23 September 2020. Beloved wife of the late Seamus, cherished mother of Anne, Marian, Bernadette, John, Seamus and Michael; her darling Melanie (No. 7); sons-in-law John and Tom; daughters-in-law Theresa and Jayne; and wonderful grandmother of Claire and Ed, Shelley and Peter, Kristina, Oliver and Danielle, Kate and Kere, Katie, Anna, Hannagh, Aidan and Georgia, Alison; and great-grandmother of Asher, Isla and Jude; andfur-grandchildren Cobber, Louis, Ralph, and Winston. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. She will be greatly missed by her brother-in-law Jimmy, sister-in-law Olive, nephews, nieces and her many wonderful friends and neighbours. A special word of thanks to Teresa Mollo, for her help and kindness to Chrissie and to the wonderful medical, nursing and Chaplain staff at Kenepuru Hospital, Wellington Hospital, her GP Dr Jill Shepherd and all the staff at Newtown Medical Centre for their kindness and care of Chrissie.

A Requiem Mass to celebrate Chrissie’s life will be held at 10.00am on Thursday 1 October, with a Rosary at 7.00pm on Wednesday 30 September. Both will be held at the Church of St Francis de Sales, Clyde Street, Island Bay. To be followed by interment at Karori Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sisters of Compassion would be appreciated and can be left in the church foyer.

Ron passed at home on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. Much loved husband and best friend of the late Andrena. Deeply loved father and father-in-law of Andrew and Alice, Celia and Richard. Most loving and special grandad to Rose and Olive. Passed away peacefully at home in Picton on September 22, 2020. Aged 66 years. Dearly loved husband and friend of the late Janice for 42 years. Son of the late Bill and Mary Colville, son-in-law of the late Les and Fay McNicol. Cherished father and father-in-law of Jarrod and Melissa Colville (Palmerston North), Shelley and Adam Moen, Vaughan and Shannon Colville (both Brisbane). Grandad Kev to Kaden and Haylee, Jesse and Kaya, Willow and Lincoln. Treasured brother and brother-in-law of Marion and the late Murray (Nelson), Cynthia and Ken Markland (Paroa), Graeme and Judith (Nelson), Rosemary and the late Malcolm Kennedy (Cobden).
