Passed away after a difficult battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 (Perth, WA), in his 51st year. Adored husband and soulmate of Sandy. Treasured dad to Thomas (Little Mate) and Bella (Monkey-Moo), Brooke and Ben. Cherished son of Jim and Ana, much loved brother to Vanessa (New Plymouth), Jon and Katrina (Nelson), Karen and Roger (Marahau), Tim and Rachel (Auckland). Cheeky uncle to Bailey, Olivia, Jesse, Alec, Laylah, Charli, Roman, Felix and Wilfred. Thank you for all of the overwhelming support at this difficult time to extended family and friends who cannot travel to be with our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew. Formerly of Upper Hutt, Mirimar and Paraparaumu. Passed away peacefully on Monday, 13 September 2021, aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of Silvey. Loved father and father-in-law of Michelle & Bevin Jansen, Lisa & Peter Page, James & Julie, and Douglas & Evelyn. Loved granddad and Grandpop of Cameron, Richard, Hayden, Rana, Elizabeth, Isabella, and Lewis. Loved brother of Ken, and loved by all his family, and friend to many. McCARTHY, Mary Theresa

Of Alexandra, previously of “Tokorangi” Lochiel.
On September 15, 2021, at Dunstan Hospital, Clyde, after a short illness, with her loving family holding her hands. Dearly loved wife of the late Tom, dearly loved Mum and best friend of Karen and Paul (Earnscleugh), John (Melbourne), and the late Graham. Dearly loved by Jaimee, Dan, Ollie and Sonny (UK). A dearly loved sister-in-law, aunt, neighbour and friend. In accordance with the family’s wishes, a private funeral will be held in Winton. BLOMQUIST, Billee Pamela (nee Hales)

Peacefully at home with family by her side on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, aged 88 years. Loved wife of the late Robert (Bob). Dearly loved Mum of Michael, Richard, Pandy, and Dean, and a loved mother-in-law of Sandy, and Pomare. Much loved Nanny of Nathan, Daniel, Josh, Shane, Ayla, and Tara, and her great-grandchildren. Billie’s family would like to thank Dr Robert Seddon-Smith, Lynn-Marie Borlase, and the staff of Nurse Maude for all their care and support. WILLIAMSON, Betty Veronica

On Sunday, September 12, 2021, in Christchurch. Dearly loved wife of the late David, mother and mother-in-law of Judith, David, John and Sally and Mary-Anne and Bernard, loved nana of her 13 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. LEPPER, Ernest William

Ernie passed away with Grace, Dignity and Humour on Wednesday 15 September 2021 at home in Matamata. Aged 88. Dearly beloved husband of Ngaire. Beloved father of Jacqui, Maxine, David and partners and their families. Funeral details will be available on Waterson’s website including the livestream link for those that can’t attend personally from Tuesday 21 September onwards. SHACKLETON, Rachel Annabel

Died peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Aged 85 years. Most dearly loved wife of Michael (deceased). Loved sister of Roger and Robert (deceased). Much loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Anna and David, Nicki, Andrew and Pam, Richard, Sarah and Miguel, Philip and Kathryn. Adored Granny of Philippa, Andrew, Guy, Rupert, Michael, Alice, Rachel, Mathew, Sarah, Thomas and Elisa, and adored Great-Granny (GG) of Felix, Penelope, Hugo, Libby, Georgie, Zoe, Emily, Ziggy, Ellis and Ella. A memorial service for Annabel will be held at a later date once there is certainty regarding lockdown restrictions. Communications to 15 Hatton St, Karori 6012. On Thursday, September 16, 2021, it was with great sadness our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister, aunty and much loved wife of Coran (deceased) passed away. Treasured and loved mother and mother-in-law of Matthew and Karen, Paula and Terry, Simon and Penny. Loved Nan P of Samuel, Benjamin, Toia, Toma, James, Coran, Ella-Mary, Felix, Dominic and Ellery. Loved sister of Jacqueline and Jim McEwan and family. Pauline shared her garden with Coran and all who stopped to admire.

MANSON, John Stephen Lawrence (Boots)

Sadly we announce that our brother John has passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Timaru Hospital, with family by his side. John had just celebrated his 77th birthday a week before he passed. Of the 12 siblings, he was 5th from the top. He was a much loved son of the late Jack and Eileen, and a loved brother and brother-in-law to; Alan and the late Joan, the late Snow, and Kathy, the late Val and Leo Gillum, Ken and the late Marion, Maurice and Glen, the late Brian, and Jan, Judy and Richard Mallett, Lois and Merv Holland, Karen and Julian Szklarski, Peter and Dianne, and Maree and John Kelman. John was a loved uncle of his many nieces and nephews, the greats and the great-greats. The family would like to acknowledge the love, care, dedication and patience, and the many kilometres travelled from, Judy and Richard, for John’s many treatments and appopintments. We and John really appreciated the time you gave him, and he loved the various lunches you shared together.

Peacefully on a glorious day, Trevor passed away at his home surrounded by love. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Tui, for 56 years, loved and cherished Dad of Karen MacArthur and Cheryl Elsey, respected father-in-law of Denny MacArthur and Ian Elsey, and adored Poppa to Hamish, Sasha, and to the late Jack, Janeya and Lily. Trevor planned a celebration of life to be held at a future date. Please raise a glass in Trevor’s memory at 7.00pm tonight and his motto of ‘every day is a good day’ will live on.
