STRAHL, Janice Mary (Jan)

It is with great sadness that we advise our mother Jan died peacefully at Somervale Retirement Home on 14 June 2019. Jan was dearly loved by her late husband Russell Strahl, and was a dearly loved mother and mother-in-law, a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. Jan was also a dear friend to many. In accordance with her wishes Jan was privately cremated today. The family are holding a memorial service to celebrate Jan’s life at Elliotts Rosebank Chapel, 25 Ninth Avenue, Tauranga, on Monday 22 July at 3.00pm. We invite you to join us on this date. At Upper Hutt, on 10 June 2019. Helen died peacefully at Elderslea Rest Home, aged 94. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Bob and Wayne, Mary and John, Chris and Irene, Stewart and Kathy, and Claire and Andreas. Loved wife of Jack (deceased). Sister of Mary (deceased) and Sallie (deceased). Granny to Bridget, Kiri, and Avril, Maria, John and Alan, Stephen (deceased), Ben, Sarah and Jenny, and Nikos and Mike, and great-grandmother of Rhys and Jamie. Passed peacefully at Stokeswood on 15 June 2019, aged 65 years. Much loved husband and best friend of Vicki. Dad of Kathryn, Jennifer and Corrie. Brother and brother-in-law of Jim, Liz and Keith, Mike, Rob and Michelle, Doug; Sharon, Gary and Helen. Loved and respected uncle, friend and mentor.
