Died in Sydney, October 12, 2018 after a sudden, brief illness. Husband of Fay; father of Helen, Michael and Rachel; grandfather to Adrian, Gabriel, Oscar, Samson, Atticus and Saji; brother of Max (dec), Pauline, Lois, David, and Graham. Lover of New Zealand art and literature, stone walls, wood and the creative harmony of mind and hand. We are heartbroken at her unexpected passing on Friday, October 12, 2018. Dearly loved wife of Richard, devoted mother of Tara, Scott, Thomas, and Brad. Much loved daughter of Albert (dec) and Nola, sister of Chris, sister-in-law of Ross, Andrew and Marina (Rockhampton), Paul and Nicky, Anne and Les, and aunty to Haylee, Courtney, Emma, Liam, and Daniel.

URE, Alfred James

On October 13, 2018, passed away peacefully with family at Christchurch, aged 94 years. Dearly loved husband of his late wife, Hazel. Loved and cherished father and father-in-law of Heather and Tony, Graeme and Kirsty, dearly loved ‘Grandee’ of Hamish and Elena, much loved brother-in-law of Norma, a loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews, and a dear friend to many. Remembering the loved brother and 5 sisters who have passed. Sawyer, poet, prospector, jokester, ranger but above all dedicated husband and father, who drank deeply from the cup of life.

Born 12 October 1932, died peacefully on Saturday, 13 October 2018. Beloved wife of the late John. Loved and adored mother to Elizabeth, Frances and Judith. Admired, respected and loved by two sons-in-law Gary and Richard, and five grandsons Louis, Sam, George, Ben, and Johnny. Loved and devoted sister to John. A kind and loyal friend to so many people and everyone who knew her. She lived a full life and will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
