Peacefully at Shona McFarlane Home on 14 August 2018. Loved wife of the late Major Walter Fraser M.B.E (Rtd). Loved mother of Gordon and Yvonne, Tony and Deby, Kim and Glenn; stepmother of Trisha and Michael; grandmother of Rebecca, David, Kaitlyn, Serena, Dylan and Georgia; great-grandmother of Amaliya, Louis, Levi, Malacai, Sabine and Ezra. Special thanks to the staff of Shona McFarlane Home and Hospital for their loving care. A service for Alison will be held in Cornwall Manor, cnr Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Tuesday, 21 August 2018 at 10.30am, followed by private cremation.

Peacefully at Waikato Hospice on 14th August 2018, aged 63 years, after a short courageous battle. Darling husband and soulmate of Sue for over 40 years. Adored father of Ryan and Aaron. Father-in-law of Kelly and Sarah, and Poppa Mac to his very special grandchildren, Byron, Addisyn, Max, Nash, and Finn, Olivia, Bentley, and Arley.

OStJ, Hunter Fellow of Victoria University, of Ngati Mutunga and Ngai Tahu. On August 15, 2018, at home in Petone with her devoted whanau, after a long illness borne with kaha and dignity. Precious daughter of the late Richard (Dick) and Hazel Phillips and stepdaughter of the late Freda Phillips, all of Christchurch. Adored best friend since schooldays and wife for 53 years of Andy, and deeply loved and admired mother of Piripi, Richie, and Lucy and their partners Andrea, Janine and Aaron. Treasured Taua of her moko Isabella, Kiri, Samuel, Lizzie, Sophia, William and Josh, and Taua and Auntie of many nieces and nephews. Greatly loved and admired oldest sister of Ranui Ngarimu, John, Richard, Hazel and Noel Phillips, and Averil Church. Good and loyal friend to many throughout te ao Maori. Miriama’s whanau give grateful thanks to Dr Jonathan Graham and staff of the oncology day unit at Kenepuru Hospital, and to the doctors and nurses at Te Omanga Hospice, for their skilled and compassionate care of Miriama. Miriama will be at Waiwhetu Marae, Lower Hutt, from 2.00pm, on Thursday, August 16. A service will take place at Waiwhetu on Saturday, August 18 at 11.00am.

On August 14, 2018, suddenly and peacefully at Dunedin Hospital; aged 77 years. Beloved partner of Gerry Broderick, dearly loved Mum of Angela Melrose, Trixie Craig, Andrew, Craig, and Scotty Ogilvie and their partners. Loved stepmum of Geraldine, and Leah, loved Nana Val of Phillip, Holly, Trina, Bethany, David, Olivia, Jack, Oliver, William, Kyra, Jayden, and Josh, and their partners. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Findlay and Rosalie, Allan and Margaret, Neill and Dot, Myra Donaldson, the late Pam. A loved wife of the late Des Ogilvie. A service for Val will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin, at 12.30pm, on Friday, August 17, the funeral then leaving for the Green Park Cemetery.
