(formerly of North Chatton) At Albany House Rest Home, Gore, on Thursday, September 16, 2021, aged 87 years. Loved and loving husband for 66 years of Jean (nee Graham), loved and respected father and father-in-law of John and Carolyn (Australia), Judith*, Rodger and Ruth, Mervin* and Averlea, Lynda and Ashley Duncan, treasured Grandad of Adam, Greg and David (all in Australia), Conall and Emily, Georgina and Alice. Respected great-grandfather of Annabelle and Jack, Lilia and Elsie, Jamie and Eddie. Roly was a loved and respected brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

Peacefully, at Hospice Southland, on Thursday, September 16, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of Brenda Lines. Beloved father and father-in-law of Gail and Eddie* Hei Hei, Fay and Terry Stott, Karen and Peter Brown, Jan Lines, Julie Lines, and Stephen and Jocelyn Lines. Jack was the son of Martha* and John* (Jack) Lines. A loved brother and brother-in-law of Elsie* and Charlie* Hughes, Joe* and Ina* Lines, Joan* and Cyril* Fisher, Jim Lines, Rachael and Jack Dowling, Nola* and Len* Maguire, Doreen* and Curly Crow*, George*, Tui*, and Henry*. Of Otaki and the Te Horo Store. On 7 September 2021 suddenly and unexpectedly at his home, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of Ann. Loved father and father-in-law to Diane and Robert, David and Angela Stead, and Barry Stead. Loved grandfather of Sherie Poole and Tai Mears, Matthew and Kathleen Poole, Aaron Poole. Great-grandfather to Ollie Mears. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Jocelyn and Allan Laurie, uncle to Allan, Jane and Dean Laurie. A tribute may be placed on Alan’s page at www.tributes.co.nz... On September 12, 2021, Roger passed away to join his dearly loved wife Maxine and loved son Mark. Roger was a very loved and respected father to Vicki (Gadd) and Steve Baird (Nelson), Mark and Billie (Otorohanga), Grandad to Fleur and Abbra (Melbourne), Erin and Tony and Neville and Jess (Otorohanga). The Lanting family are sad to announce that their beloved and treasured husband of Meryl, father of Heather, Sharon, Diane, Vivienne and Wayne, grandfather, great and great-great-grandfather, at the age of 93, has passed away peacefully (or as he would have said, ‘kicked the bucket’) at Waikato Hospital, after a short illness on September 12, 2021. He was the most wonderful, loving man to us all. So proud of the 5 generations in his family. 32 he’d tell everyone. 5 children, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great- grandchildren. Because family meant everything to him and he wanted us all to be together to celebrate his life and say farewell to him, and with COVID restrictions as they are, his funeral will be held on October 22, 2.00pm, at Zenders Cafe in Hamilton. Loved Oma of Jordan, Christina, Renée, Nick, Victoria, Sarah, Caleb, Maddox, Charlotte & Makena. Helen will be laid to rest at Mangaroa Cemetery in Hastings on Thursday 16 September and a thanksgiving service to celebrate her life will be held at the Wellington Reformed Church on Saturday 18 September.
