Passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 21, 2020, aged 86. Dearly beloved wife for 66 years of Jan (John). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Liz and Paul, Con and Tiddo. Oma of Joanna and Will, Jeremy and Kylie, Matthew and Ingrid, and David and Jodie. Great-Oma of Anneke, Leo, Harrison and Zack. A private cremation has been held.

TAYLOR, Shirley Gladys

Formerly of Putaruru, sadly passed away on Wednesday, 19th February 2020, at Tokoroa Hospital. Aged 86 years. Survived by her husband Tom Taylor. Loved mother to Bruce, Rhonda, Gary, Wendy and Jon. A service to celebrate the life of Shirley will be held in the Rosa Chapel, 6 Tamihana St, Matamata, on Friday, 28th February, at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. KELLY, Joy Carolyn

After a brief illness at Lister Home on February 21, 2020; aged 74. Wife of Cyril, and loved mother of Amanda, Joanna and Paull. Nan of Dearna, Emma-lee, Aletha, Lewis, Kenah and Sarah. Great-Nan of Joshua and Riley. A private cremation has been held. Messages to 13 Grace St, Waimate.


KEELEY, Mavis Doreen (nee Monk)

1947 — 2020
Peacefully at Geraldine Retirement Village on Friday, February 21, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Max, loving mother and mother-in-law of Alison and Murray (both dec), Ngarie and Peter, Pam and Ken, Dave and Shirley. Loved grandmother of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many thanks to the staff and management at Geraldine Retirement Village for their loving care of Mavis. Passed away peacefully on February 23, 2020 at St Helena’s Rest Home, surrounded by her loving family. A much loved daughter of the late Elsa and Peter Ewen, loved mother and mother-in-law of Craig, Gregory, David and Karen, loved nana of James and Jordan. Peacefully on February 20, 2020, in Dunedin; aged 94 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret, much loved Dad and friend of Bruce (dec), and Christine Collier and Mark (Christchurch), loved Grandad of Michael Crowe (Canada), Ange Brown (Australia), loved great-Grandad of Courtney (Australia), and Claire (Canada). NIXON, Shelley Margaret

On 22nd February 2020, at Te Hopai Home & Hospital, Newtown. Aged 56. Adored wife of Richard (Harry) Crawford, loved daughter and daughter-in-law of Brian and Helen Nixon, Julie Galbraith and Warwick Underwood, big sister and friend to Elizabeth, Kate and Emma and their families, step-mum to Henry, Jack, Ted and Arthur Crawford. A service to celebrate Shelley’s life will be held at the Wilton Bowling Club, 122 Wilton Road, Wellington, on 3rd March 2020 at 2.00pm. A private cremation has already taken place.


RILEY, Anthony William (Tony)

Passed peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2020, surrounded by family, at Christchurch Hospital. Aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of Mary. Much loved father and father-in-law of Matt and Kim, Andy and Bid, Kelly and Matt, Johnny and Anna, and Sean and Jaydene. Cherished pop of Ellie, Ashley, Jack, Will, George, Maddi, Ben, Izzy, Sam, Kate, Tom, and Dylan. Much loved brother and uncle of his Australian family. Passed away peacefully at Margaret Wilson Rest Home on February 23, 2020; in her 92nd year. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of John and Judith Parker, Joy and Colin Burt, Anne and Robert Grant, Kaye Parker and Grant Baily (Alexandra). Loved Grandma of Ashlee and Josh, Chris and Jade, Thomas and Kizandra; Kirstin and Sam, David and Rachel. Loved great-grandma of Preston, Oston, Esther; Nakita, Jayce and Sophia. Special friend of the late Joc. Special thanks to the staff of Margaret Wilson Rest Home for their care of Mum over the past 6 years and to Dr Anneke Pribis. D’ATH, Lesley Susan (Sue)

Sue passed away on Saturday 22 February 2020 at the age of 84, having spent time with loved ones in the days prior. Beloved sister of the late Josephine and Betsy, partner of the late John Johnston. She is much loved by her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. The family thanks the Grace Joel community for their love and friendship with Sue; and special thanks to the Waikato Hospital ICU team. A Service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held at the All Souls Chapel, Purewa, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank, Auckland, on Thursday 27 February at 11.30am.
