On May 20, 2020, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Aged 80 years. Eldest daughter of the late Harry and Gwen Hunt. Adored wife of the late Robert (Bob) Baker, specially loved Mum of Robert and Bridget Baker, Warren and Lynley Baker, and Leanne and the late Rex Clarkson. Very loved Nana and Gran-nan to her 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Dearly loved daughter of the late Freda and Bart Tangney and dear sister of Marjorie, Audrey and Bert (dec.). Loving wife of Des Sanders (dec.). Together they devoted themselves to family. Cherished, precious mum of Bart, Mary & Graham, Peter & Brigit, Julia, Haami, Kate & Ardis, Paula & Stu, Tom & Joanna, Claire & Noel, John & Ali. Much loved and darling Grandma of her 26 grandchildren, and Great Grandma of her 18 great grandchildren. The family extend heartfelt gratitude to all who helped care for our precious mum over the years. Mum is at the family home in Upper Hutt. Family, friends and parishioners are welcome to attend the Rosary at home on Sunday 24th May, 2pm. Requiem Mass Monday 25th May at 11am, Saint Joseph’s Church, Upper Hutt, followed by burial at Akatarawa Cemetery.

McMILLAN, Wayne Rowland

Ski-Plane Captain Wayne McMillan; loving and devoted husband to Val and much loved father of Nick and Kate. Adored Poppy of Isabella, Paige, Ella and Fleur, and a loyal friend to many. Sadly passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at the age of 74, in his long-time family home in Twizel, after a bravely defiant battle with cancer. A private cremation has been held and Wayne will return to the family home, until restrictions are lifted and a fitting memorial service can be held to celebrate his life, for all to attend. Wayne was a shining light and a huge inspiration to us all, the void he has left is immense, and will slowly be filled over time by the innumerable memories, moments and unique experiences in life that he shared with us. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, 7th May 2020, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Aged 73. Dearly beloved and cherished husband and soulmate of Vivian. Dearly loved and adored father and father-in-law of Valerie and Pete Sedcole (Paris), Jacqueline and Richard Sutton (Melbourne). Dearly loved and proud grandfather (Gong Gong) of Francesca and Elliot. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Judy (dec) and Peter Li, Alfred and Christine. Formerly of Marton. Passed away peacefully on Sunday 17 May 2020 at Willard Home, Palmerston North, with family present. Aged 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Betty. Loved father and father-in-law of Julianne and Willie, David and Suzanne, Peter and the late Dolores, Susan and Garnett, Pamela and Stuart, Robyn, the late Patricia, and the late Margaret.
