BARR, Andrew Douglas (Doug)

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, peacefully at Redwood Lifestyle Care & Village, Blenheim, with family at his side. Aged 91 years. Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Finally at peace.
Messages may be sent to 200 Drysdale Road, Myross Bush, Invercargill 9872. At Doug’s request, a private cremation has taken place.

WYATT, Gloria(formerly Gloria Lord)

On July 13, 2019, at Jack Inglis Friendship Hospital, Motueka. Loved wife of Fred; widow of the late Ross Lord; loved mother and mother-in-law of Deb and Russ Wallace, Bridget and Shaf van Ballekom, John and Jill Lord, and Rachel and Ulrich von Werder; loved grandmother and great-grandmother. The family had a small private farewell prior to cremation, but a memorial service will be held at Hope Garden of Remembrance Chapel, 95 Clover Road East, Hope, on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2.00pm, to which all family and friends are invited. Special thanks to all the staff at Jack Inglis who have been so caring in their support.

13.03.1935 – 16.07.2019
Passed away peacefully at Wellington Hospital with family by her side. Much loved wife of the late Jim Burr. Mother of Jeanne, Lynda, Stuart and Bruce. Nana, Great Gran, ‘Nan Ally’ and adored Aunty of many. Special sister and sister-in-law of Russ (dec) and Diane, Dave and Pam, Heather (dec) and Gordon. She touched the lives of so many with her love, caring, generosity and laughter. Will live on in all our hearts and sure to be having a great party reuniting with those that have gone before. In lieu of flowers donations to the Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Peacefully on July 17, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Marie Bishop, loved father and father-in-law of Lorraine and Tim Frances-Rees, and Graham Bishop, and a loved granddad of Antonio, and Daniel Frances-Rees. A Requiem Mass for Tony will be celebrated at St Thomas Church, Mountain View Rd, Timaru, today Friday, July 19 at 1.30pm, followed by interment at the Timaru Cemetery.

Of Cannons Creek and formerly of Wanganui. Passed away peacefully at Mary Potter Hospice on Tuesday, 16 July 2019, aged 74 years. Lindsay was a friend to many. A funeral service for Lindsay will be held at the Salvation Army Corps, 89 Warspite Avenue, Cannons Creek, on Monday, 22 July 2019, commencing at 10.00am.

Of Feilding. On July 17, 2019, with a heavy heart we would like to inform our whanau and friends that our Queen passed away peacefully at home. Much adored mother of Tania, Jason (deceased), Melissa, Luana, Taniora, and Hine, treasured Nanny of many grandchildren and Kiki of her great-grandchildren. A service will be held at Aorangi Marae, Waughs Road, Feilding, on Monday, July 22, at 11.00am, followed by burial at the Rongopai Urupa.

With heavy hearts the family of Valmai announce her passing on July 17, 2019, in her 94th year. A loving and devoted wife of the late Allan, a guiding and nuturing mother and mother-in-law to Donald, Glenys and Wayne Moodie, Helen and partner Kevin, Ewen and Mary-Clare, Malcolm and Bobbi, and a proud grandmother of James.
Mum will now join Dad on his walks through the bush trails.

A service celebrating Valmai’s life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 2.00pm. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Theodora on 15 July 2019. Theodora’s funeral will take place at 11.00am on Monday 22 July at Evangelismos Church (Cathedral of the Annunciation) in Hania Street, Wellington. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations are made to Evangelismos Church in memory of Theodora. All who would like to pay their respects to the family are welcome to Theodora’s house on Saturday 20 July between the hours of 2-5pm. In addition if people would like to view Theodora’s body they can do so between the hours of 8.30am-5pm at Lychgate Funeral Home at 306 Willis St, Aro Valley, Wellington - they will need to ring Lychgate on 04 385 0745 beforehand though to make an appointment to do so. Loved husband of Rita, and loved father and father-in-law of Heather and John, Alistair, Donald and Muriel, Fiona, and the late Christine and Wati. Loved grandfather of Ana and Isaac, Nicholas, Dylan and Evan, Charles and Lucy, and Hamish and Erin. Loved brother of Ross and the late Neil. Partner, best friend and soulmate to Ali (Sigley). “My wonderful manz” W V V. Loved son of the late Doris Lucinsky and Cliff Painter. “Dad” to Ben. Loved husband of the late Anne. Old man to Dan, loved dad to Cameron, Pappie to Sandy and quick witted dad to James and Rach, Karl and Tarn. Cherished brother to Joe (deceased), Ian and Jackie, Janice and Jenny. Loved son-in-law of Lorraine Holtham, brother-in-law to Janet and Dave, Alan (deceased) and Robyn (deceased) and John Perry. Awesome Poppy to all his Grandies! Rex was an uncle, mate and mentor to many, he definitely made that ‘Dash” count. His life was “All done in the best possible taste”, Rest Easy Rex. In lieu of flowers a donation can be left in the Chapel foyer for Arohanui Hospice or SPCA. A celebration of Rex’s life will be held at the Terracehaven Chapel, 697 Main Street, Palmerston North, on Monday 22nd July 2019 at 11.00am, followed by private cremation.
