ANDERSON, David Andrew

Passed peacefully on September 12, 2021, aged 72. Dearly beloved partner of Kate Fitzgerald, loved father of Jess and Mars, Koko to Xan, Thea and Robyn, dear and loving friend to all who knew him.
He will be greatly missed.
Memorial service to be held at a later date due to the current pandemic and will be announced in the near future.


BROWNLEE, Winifred Rose (Rose)

On September 10, 2021, peacefully at Nurse Maude Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Bruce. Dearly loved mother of John, Elizabeth, and Judith, and their families, and a loved grandma, great-grandmother and nana. SEIJERS, Robert Andrew (Rob)

McCULLY, William David (David)

Passed away after a short illness on September 10, 2021, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 78 years. Loved husband of Gaynor and the late Valerie. Much loved father of Darren, and Brent. Brother and brother-in-law of Clare and Alec Scott, Gratt and Shirley, Russell and Pat Kennedy, Judy and Lindsay Holland, Alistair (deceased), Trish, Dianne and Clarrie (deceased), John and Dorothy. Loving grandfather of Sarah, Devon, Chloe, Ryan and Sophie. Stepfather of Deborah, Chris and Sally, and special Pop to Oli and Millie. Best mate of Buddy and Sheeba.

BELL, Russell Stuart Galbraith

Of Otaki, formerly New Plymouth, on 12 September 2021, at Horowhenua Health Centre, aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Judith. Loving Dad of Sharon and Marty, Ross and Anna, Larraine and Chris. Adored Russo to Maggie, India and Angus, Lindsay, Amelia and Ethan Bell and Maddison, Hannah and Seth Haring. Also loved by Samantha and Jaxon Rae and especially Louis. In accordance with Russell’s wishes a private cremation has been held. Messages to the Bell Family, c/- 284 Oxford Street, Levin 5510. BIRKS, Georgina May(nee Ball)

It is with deep sadness the family of Georgina ‘Gina’ May Birks (nee Ball) announce Gina’s passing on September 5, 2021 at home. Much loved and loving wife of the late Lieutenant-General A L (Tony) Birks CB, OBE. Treasured mother of Tara (Craig), Anthony (Deidre), and Jeremy (Tristan). CARTER, Daphne May

On Friday, September 10, 2021, peacefully at Ashwood Park Retirement Village, Blenheim. Aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Laurence, loved mother and mother-in-law of Chris, Les and Ngaire (Brisbane); grandmother and great-grandmother to her many grandchildren. Sister of Dorothy (deceased), George (deceased), Thelma, Janette and Brent. PRICE, Dorothy Catherine (Dot)

On September 11, 2021, peacefully at Rosebank Lifecare, Ashburton, aged 87 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret Searle, and loved sister of the late Jim, and Brian Searle. DOUGLAS, Peter William

Passed away peacefully at home in Napier on September 12, 2021. Loved and adored by his partner Lynn Guy, and late wife Judy Douglas. His children Glenys, Shane and Rachel, Keri and Jase, Pete Jr and Ross. Along with Lynn’s children and all his grandchildren. BEAZER, Phyllis Mary

Passed away peacefully at Nelson Residential Care, Feilding. Loved wife of the late Stan, loving mother to Geoffery, Christine, and Andrea, mother-in-law to Sandra, Thomas, Peter, and Elinor. Treasured Nan to Julie, Nicola, Gordon, Bettina, Teresa, Troy, and Kane, and Great Nan to seven. Unexpectedly on Saturday, September 11, 2021, we lost Eamon at home, Gore. Loved son of Susan Neil. Loved son and stepson of John and Donelle McInerney (Western Australia). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Elizabeth and Scott McMillan. Loved Grandson of Clarky* and Marion* Neil. Loved Grandson of Judy and Joseph* McInerney. Loved family member of Fraser and Marianne*, Michael and Brea, and Matthew Neil; Adrienne, John, and Billy Barrow; Hamish and Lisa, Arabella, and Finn Neil, and deeply loved by all his Australian family.

MARRIOTT, John Henry

Passed away peacefully after a long, hard fought battle with cancer on September 11, 2021, aged 76. Loved by his children Kenneth, Diana and Rebecca, his grandchildren Eva, Jack, Arthur, Holly and Heath, and his brother Gary. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We would like to thank everybody involved in Dad’s care. Due to Covid restrictions, we will be holding a private service.



Peacefully at Strathallan, Timaru, with family by his side, on September 11, 2021 aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of Margaret, father and father-in-law of Graham and Louise, Paul and Amanda, Peter and Angela. Grandfather of Sophie, Andrew, Nicola, David, Noah, Oscar, Samuel, Jack and Bella. A service for Michael will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountainview Road, Timaru, on Saturday, September 18 at 2.00pm, followed by a private interment at the Timaru Cemetery. The venue at Aoraki has been divided into two totally separate areas, both seating 50 attendees safely. The team will direct you upon arrival.
