Passed away peacefully on Tuesday 22nd September 2020. Aged 74. Dearly loved wife of the late Peter. It is with great sadness Owen passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2020, with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband, partner and soulmate of Suzanne. Adored and loved father and best friend of Jamie. Loyal companion of Bella and Lucy. Loved son of the late Joan and Eddie Nolan. Brother of Bryan (Barney), Justine, Mark (MD), Paul (Burger), Gerard (Goarse), and Donna. Requiem Mass will be Celebrated in St Peter’s Catholic Church, Omakau, on Friday, September 25, 2020, at 1.00pm, the funeral then leaving for the Clyde Cemetery. Rosary at 5.00pm today, Thursday, September 24. Thank you to the amazing, wonderful, caring staff and Dr Joost Breuk of Alexandra Medical Centre. On September 22, 2020, passed away peacefully at Edith Cavell Rest Home, aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband of Bron for 52 years, much loved father and father-in-law of Brent and Sandy, Ian and Sarah, treasured grandpa of Zac, and Yazz (London), Rosa, and Joe, and loved brother of Tom (Germany), and the late Eva (Scotland). Peacefully on September 22, 2020. Charmaine passed away at the Otago Community Hospice surrounded by her family and friends. Loved and loving Mum of Jenson, and Ari West, loved and adoring partner of Mahal Pearce, much loved daughter of Graeme and Karen, and loved only sister of Trudey and Carey, loved Aunty of Will, Pyper, Rafe, Amy, and Hope, longtime friend of Jason West, loved granddaughter of the late Arthur and May Helm, and the late Bill and Lil McKendrick.
“Through everything you endured you always held yourself and everyone around you together. Wherever you are now, we are sure you will be with family gone before you. You have left us sad but you were the life and soul of the party, and will never be forgotten.”
A celebration of Charmaine’s life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, on Saturday, September 26, at 10.00am, the funeral then leaving for Dunedin Cemetery. A huge special thank you to Glen and Warren McConnell and Julie and Graeme O’Neill for all your love and support, and thank you also to Hospice S.C., all the district nurses, Catherine D’Souza, Frances and Dick Price, Allan Roberts, Christchurch Oncology Jim Edwards and Ian Ward, and Simon Scholz for all the care you have given to Mike. In disbelief and with unimaginable pain, we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Katherine Robertson Serjeantson. She was 20 years old, excited to start a job, and beginning to train in social work at Whitireia so she could support those who also struggled to get help overcoming mental illness. Katherine showed so much kindness, wisdom and compassion to others that she was unable to show herself. But we saw her gifts clearly
