Passed away peacefully in Wellington on October 12, 2018. Aged 94 years. Loved son of the late William (Buster) and Henrietta (Hetty). Much loved husband of 62 years to the late Patricia Mary. Treasured father and father-in-law to Kerry and Mary Ann, the late Kevin and Anne, and Julie. Loved “Da” to his grandchildren Patrick, Anthony, Kate, Bridget, Natalie, Juliette and Nick, and “Great Da” to Harry, Charlie, Emma, Callum, Ava, Ellie and Emily. A friend to many. Our thanks go to the many wonderful medical professionals and caregivers who gave Dad comfort over the past few difficult months. He has taken his last tour and flown his last flight. Passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family, at the age of 93, at the Golden Bay Community Health on October 12, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Pip Ball. Dearly loved mother of Graham and Michelle of Takaka, Sharon and Stewart Harris of Richmond, and Lyn Lee of Australia, and of Suzanne, (deceased). Adored Grandmother of 9 grandchildren, special Great-Grandmother to 21, and Great-Great-Grandmother to to 3 little ones, all of whom brought her great joy. A funeral service will be held graveside, at the Rototai Cemetery in Takaka, on Tuesday, October 16, at 1.00pm, to celebrate Gwen’s life, to be followed by afternoon tea at the Senior Citizen’s Hall, Takaka.

Peacefully passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018, aged 80 years, at Palmerston North Hospital. Hore is survived by Lola Broughton, children and mokopuna. He will lie in state at Wai o Turi Marae in Patea from Sunday until Tuesday morning where he will be moved to Ohinemutu Marae and laid to rest at 11.30am.
