SCOTT, William John (Bill)

Died suddenly on 24 February 2020, aged 75. Loved husband of Caryl, father and father-in-law of Janelle and Darryn, Blair (Scooter) and Kelli, Glenn and Angela; Poppa of Shayla, Jack; Grandfather of Gracie. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Morris & Morris Funerals, 199 Kamo Road, Whangarei, on Monday 2 March, at 1.30pm.

HYNSON, Elsie Nanette (Nan)

On February 25th 2020, Nanette passed away peacefully at Windsor Court Rest Home, Ohaupo, in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Dan Hynson. Loved mother to her two sons, Daniel & Lisa, and Robert & Cheryl. Loved and loving Nan of Nicholas, Blake and Flynn. BAKER, Lawrence (Larry)

SMITH, Marie Therese(nee O’Driscoll)

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle at South Canterbury Hospice, on February 26, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of Jim, loved mother and mother-in-law of Philippa and Craig, Joshua and Becs, Juanita and Regan. Devoted nana to Maddison and Gianna, Mitchell and Daniel, Brooke, Mackenzie and Courtney. A loyal friend to many. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated and may be left at the service. A celebration of Marie’s life will be held at St Thomas’s Catholic Church, on Saturday, February 29 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

O’NEILL, Francis (Frank)

Peacefully after a short illness, with family at his side, on February 26, 2020; three days after his 93rd birthday. Dearly loved husband of the late Shirley. Adored and adoring dad of Anne and Ross Glendining, Maureen Crossman, and Kerry and Paul Harper. GOLDEN, Trevor Templeton

Trevor passed away peacefully, at Frankton (previously of Wendonside), on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, aged 70 years. Dearly loved husband of Miriam. Cherished father and father-in-law of Anita and Dave, John and Jillian*, and loving and adored Grandad of Zac and Charlie. Loved brother, brother-in-law and Uncle.
He potters no more in
the garden,

He strolls no more down

A service to celebrate Trevor’s life will be held at St Margaret’s Presbyterian Church, Ross St, Frankton, on Monday, March 2, at 1.30pm, followed by a private burial. Adored partner and soulmate of Lyn, much loved father to Wesley, and Kelly, loved brother, uncle, treasured Poppa to his grandchildren and BF of Milly and Sandi. Passed away peacefully on 22nd February 2020 in Wales. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Carole and the late Brian Greenville, and uncle of Grant and Sharyn, the late Donald, and Hilary and Paul, and their families.

RUSSELL, Ernest Thomas (Ernie)

Unexpectedly at his home due to a medical event, aged 64 years. Dearly loved son of the late Marjory (nee Taylor) and Bill Russell. Much loved brother of Frank, John, Louis, Tony, Adele, Ann, Carol, Germaine, and Clarrence. Will be sadly missed by his wider family, and a special friend of Cheryl, and Cassandra. HOUSTON, Graeme Leslie (Sam)

Born 21 September 1946. Passed away 26 February 2020. Dearly beloved husband of Lynette (Lynne). Loving father of Paula, Melanie and Phil, Renee and Vaughan. Devoted grandad of Yasmine, Amelia, Sophie, Nevaeh, Xavier and Faith. Adored brother of Gail, Kay and the late Christine.
Graeme is not truly gone,
because his memory lives
on in all of us who loved him.

A service to celebrate Graeme’s life will be held at St Columba Church, 480 Ti Rakau Drive, Botany, on Friday 6 March 2020 at 1.00pm. Thereafter private cremation.

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, February 27, 2020, aged 57 years. Dearly loved son of Jessie and the late Bob. Loved brother and brother-in-law of John and Minnie, Joanne and Ash, Wayne and Nicole, Julie, Donna and Craig. Adored uncle of his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Brent’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Saturday, February 29, at 10.30am, the service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. STEVENS, Thomas Kennedy (Tom)

Suddenly on February 25, 2020, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 64 years. Loved husband and best friend of Carol. Loved dad of Mathew, Stephen, Sam, and Hannah, and loved by their partners Lyndsay, Moira, and Cam. Loved Pop Tom of Koa, and Asha. Loved brother and brother-in-law Christina and the late John, Ken and Jo, and their families. Loved brother-in-law to Grant Maynard, Paul and Mandy, and their families. Loved son-in-law of Noeline, Ken Maynard (dec), and Sandy. Many thanks to the team at I.C.U. for their care of Tom. MACFARLANE, Lucy Sarah (nee Tame)

On February 26, 2020, at Nurse Maude Hospice, surrounded by family, aged 35 years. Loved wife and best ‘mate’ of Andy, adored mum of William, and step-mum of Conor, and Lachie. Precious, determined and courageous daughter of Barb and Dave Tame, so loved by her twin sister Hannah and Brendon, brother Sam and partner Annie, brave aunty ‘Ucy’ of Ollie, and Matilda Lucy. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Graci Foundation (Gynaecological Cancer Research Trust) in memory of Lucy would be appreciated and may be made at the service. A Celebration of Lucy’s life will be held in our Rangiora Chapel, Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora, on Tuesday, March 3, at 2.30pm, private cremation thereafter. At Lucy’s request, please wear pink or other bright colours.


GIBB, Winifred Ellen (Win) (nee Rabbitt)

Peacefully at home on Thursday, February 27, 2020. Dearly loved wife of Brian*, loved mother of Chris, Julie, Stephanie, Geoffrey*, Bernard and Michelle, and cherished Gran of all her grandchildren.
