GILL, Fay Ellen (formerly Hosking)

Of Otaki, previously of Upper Hutt. Passed away peacefully at Winara Hospital on Monday 14 October 2019, in the presence of her family. Aged 96 years. A loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed. Thanks to the staff at Winara for their wonderful care over the last 4 years. A celebration of Fay’s life, her laughter and her friendships will be held in the Kapiti Coast Funeral Home Chapel, 9-11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu, on Saturday, 19 October 2019, at 11.00am, thereafter private cremation.

GIN, Nan Yuen (Hilda)

On October 13, 2019, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at Parkstone Care Home. Devoted wife of the late Gin Kim Leng (Alec). Much loved mum and mother-in-law of Bill and Li, Ray, George and Mary, and Joyce Chin. Cherished Neng of Christopher, and Catherine; Natalie, Laura; Matthew, Nicholas, and Carly; and their partners, treasured Paw Paw of Jessica, and Emily, and their partners. Beloved sister of Lee Nan Heung, and the late Lee Fook Ben, and their families. Special thanks to Dr Colin Chin, and the staff at Parkstone Care Home for their exceptional care. Formerly of Millers Flat. Husband of Phyl, passed away peacefully, on October 14, 2019, at Clutha Health First surrounded and supported by his family. Loved father and father-in-law of Trevor and Daly, Debbie and Kevin van de Water, Michelle and Ken McKenzie Anderson, Jock and Debbie, Lindsay and Myreen, and all his Grand and Great-Grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Clutha Health First for their support and their compassionate, respectful care of Lofty. A celebration of Lofty’s life will be held on Friday, October 18 at 1.30pm, in the Millers Flat Hall, then leaving for the Millers Flat Cemetery. On Monday, October 14, 2019, at home, Riversdale, Southland. Dearly loved and precious husband of the late Yvette. Loved Dad and Koro of Myra, Robbie, Jo and Sam (Timaru); Rana, Les, Kerry, Brett, Jenna and Nikita (Perth); Dean, Fiona, Tinaya and the late Arneka (Riversdale); Robyn, Mark, Jason, Kelly, Ray (Riversdale); Shane and Jade (Kapiti Coast); Adam, Rhonda, Tane, Matt, and Josh (Mosgiel). Passed away peacefully on Tuesday 15 October 2019, surrounded by his loving family, aged 76 years. Respected ex-husband of Margaret. Aged 49, sadly left us far too soon on October 10, 2019 after a courageously fought battle against Glioblastoma brain cancer. Very much loved husband and best friend of Kim; loving dad to Taylor and Jake; loved son of Margaret Janes & Graham Coleman (dec); bonus son of Malcolm Black (dec) and Aaron Janes; brother of Sharon, Darryl & Leighanne; loved son-in-law of Murray & Shona Brockelsby; brother-in-law & best mate to Todd & Sandy, Grant & Ann-Louise, Lisa & Grant. Peacefully at Annie Brydon Lifecare, Hawera, on Tuesday 15th October 2019, aged 80 years. Wife of the late Bernard, loved mum of Brenda, Barry, Brian and Ann. Cherished nana of 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Many thanks for the care of mum from the staff and management at Annie Brydon for their love and care over the last 7 years. On 12th October 2019, aged 92 years. Dearly loved father of John, Susan and Ian, and a much loved father-in law to Kerry and Geraldine. Adored Grandfather (Poppa) to Jason, Amy, Damon, Jaxson, Harley, Genevieve and Siobhan. Great-Grandfather to Jade, Oliver and Archer. Doug will also be very sadly missed by his step grandchildren Bernard, Andre, Jasmine and step great-grandchildren, his special friend Shane, Lan and family, and Doug’s very good neighbours in Longcroft Terrace. Peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at Waikari Hospital. Aged 95 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Alan. Dearly loved mum of Kevin and Donna, Murray and Noeleen, Irene and Roger, and Ray and the late Glenis. Loved sister of the late Cyril.
