Passed away peacefully on March 2, 2021 at Ashburton Hospital, in her 91st year. Loved wife of the late Kelvin for 68 years. Loved mother, mother-in-law and friend of Karen and Danny Crequer, Leanne Chisnall and Barb Sheard. Loved Gran of Nicola and Carl, Philippa and Shannon; Kelly and Nigel, Simon and Lyndall. Pat passed away peacefully at Mckenzie Healthcare on February 24, 2021, in her 101st year. Loved mother of Heather, Rosemarie, and Diana. Loved Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

FINDLAY, Kaye Thelma

On March 2nd 2021 peacefully at Sevenoaks Hospital. Aged 74 years. Dearly loved wife of Clutha; Loved mother and mother-in-law of Darryl and Jane, Warren and Amber, Martin and Sylvia; Much loved Nana Kaye to her 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. MURDOCH, David James

Aged 82. Passed away in Auckland on February 22, 2021. Beloved son of the late Gladys and Jim Murdoch (Ashburton). Dearly loved brother of Jessie and Alister Morgan, loved uncle of Jude, Debbie and Stuart.

HAVARD, Dallas Rubina

Of Christchurch. Peacefully at Eldon Lodge, Paraparaumu, on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife of the late John. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Robin, Sue and Dave, Leslie and Ron, and Steve. Loved grandmother of Hannah and Clint, Rose and Thomas, and great-grandmother of Jesse, Elliot and Maxwell. LINES, Francis Paul

Aged 80 years. Previously milkman of Brightwater. Paul has passed on to a far better place peacefully on February 24, 2021, at Nelson. Beloved son of the late Francis and Christina Lines, originally from Sherry River. Beloved brother to Ray, Len, Fred, Ruth and twin to Peter.

BECKETT, Julie (Julz)

1.12.1961 — 26.2.2021
Suddenly taken with family beside her. An absolutely devoted mum to Aleisha, Morgan, Josh and Hayden. Julie loved you all to bits.

WARNER, Dennis Thomas

2527 Sapper (Rtd) 5th Field Park Coy 2NZEF. Born October 16, 1918, Thornton Heath, England. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Resthaven on Burns Street, Leamington, aged 102 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Noni Audrey (nee Woods). Adored father of Dennis (Julie) and Jane. Treasured Grandad of Jamie (Carolina), Tristan (Eniko), Sam (Kristen), Tom and Jessica, and Great-Grandad of Sebastian, Camila, Declan and Finn. Special thanks to the staff of Resthaven on Burns Street, Jono Gibson of Cambridge Funerals, Tony Hill of the Cambridge RSA and Don Oliver (Celebrant). At Dennis’ request a private cremation was held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Hamilton Park Crematorium, Newstead.


McNAUGHTEN, John Barry

18.8.1935 — 1.4.2020

Barry’s family invite friends to join them at a memorial celebration of Barry’s life on Saturday April 3, 2021 at 2pm at the Upper Hutt Cosmopolitan Club, 11 Logan Street, Upper Hutt. Due to the Lockdown this has been the first opportunity to remember Barry and celebrate his life. Please also accept this as an acknowledgement of the many wonderful cards and phone calls received and the support and love shown to Maureen and the family.


HASLAM, Siu Kai (née Dr. Wong)

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 2nd March 2021, at the Levin Home for War Veterans, in her 95th year. Beloved younger sister of Wong Chun Ho & Wong Chun Fai and their families in Hong Kong. Treasured friend of Sue, Bev & Melinda. As per Siu Kai’s wishes a private cremation has been held. All messages to Siu Kia’s family, C/- 547 Queen St East, Levin.


MARSLAND, Stuart Neil

12.12.1963 – 1.3.2021
Much loved husband of Melinda. Cherished Dad to Wade and Rhys and boss of his mate Choc. Precious son of Derrick and Mavis Marsland. Special brother (and in-law) to Wendy and Wayne Chisnall, and Uncle to Aimee and Jack. After a short stay in hospital and a fight to the end, Stu found his angel wings and left the world. A celebration of Stu’s life will be held at The Quarry, 284 Palmerston Street, Westport, on Saturday, March 13, at 2.30pm.



Passed away peacefully at Bainswood on Victoria on February 11, 2021. Aged 92 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Harold. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Beverley, Marlene and Allan Fowler, and Alan and Suzanne. Treasured Gran of Scott and Leigh, Glen and Mairead, Janelle and Nick, and Amy and Dan, and Great-Gran of Willim and Eve, Sean, Elizabeth and Olivia, and Zoe and Finley. At Marie’s request, a private service has been held.


WILLIAMS, Alan Leslie

On March 3, 2021 Alan passed away peacefully at The Margaret Wilson Home, Timaru, aged 92 years. He was looked after brilliantly by the wonderful team there. The family would like to announce a posthumous gold medal for Alan’s services to his community and family since 1928. Alan was Dawn’s dearly loved husband for 70 years 4 months. A loved and cherished dad to Grant and Felicity, Brent and Jacqui, Jenny and Geoff, Chris and Debbie. Much loved Grandad to Clemency and Yann, Samuel and Coco, Adrian, Tim and Ben, Jono and Amanda, and Alie, Olivia, Harrison, and Alicia. Loved Great Grandad to Pierre, Gabriel and Lily, Hinoki and Keyaki. Dad’s life touched so many more, too many to mention here. Please all have a toast (strong cup of tea) to Alan. For those of you who knew Alan, he loved a chat, always had a smile on his face, but did not like a fuss, so at his request, a private service will be held later in the year. All messages to Dawn, who we expect will be receiving a card from the Queen in the years to come. Thanks to Betts Funeral Services for dealing with the formalities. CONNOR, Shona Christine

Passed away peacefully at Merivale Retirement Village with family by her side on Monday, March 1, 2021, aged 64 years. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Jason and Lisa, Aaron and Vanessa. Much loved grandma of Caitlyn and Fletcher. Many thanks to the staff at Merivale Retirement Village for all their loving care of Shona.
