BUCKLE, William Henry (Bill)

On November 20, 2020, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of Gwenda, loved father and father-in-law of Ian and Sharon, Robert and Jo, and Catherine, treasured granddad of Keegen, and Alex; Ryan, and Kate, loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Rose and Harry Macklin, the late Ann and Ron Watts, Ellen and the late Derek Clairmonte, the late Kathleen, Hilda and the late Ron Scott, Bert and the late Jean Bradshaw, and the late Valerie Boreham, loved brother-in-law of the late John Clarke, and George (deceased) and Betty Clarke, beloved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Christchurch Hospital for the love and care given to Bill. McONIE, Kerry Peter

5.12.1948 — 22.11.2020
Of Perth, Western Australia. Loved eldest son of Colin and Mary (dec). Loved and respected big brother, brother-in-law, and Uncle, to Wayne, Malcolm, Gavin, Marianne, and their families. Former husband, and lifelong friend to Gail McCarthy. Super proud and adoring Dad of Carl and Trudy, father-in-law to Amanda and Kim, and grandfather (Poppy) to Samantha, Joshua, Jaxon, Lily, Anais, and Corey.

A proud, independent man, with a generous and loving heart.

On November 24, 2020, at Merivale Retirement Home. Loved wife of the late Bruce Howarth, and a dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Genevieve and James Willoughby, and Gretchen and Peter Redfern, adored Granny to Guy and Fiona, Felicity and Gareth, Hamish and Janet, and her six great-grandchildren. HEWSON, John Maitland

Peacefully at Glenwood Rest Home, Timaru, on Thursday, November 26, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret for nearly 72 years. Dearly loved awesome dad of Faye and Don, Marilyn and Keith, Jeff and Bev, Stephen and Alison. Treasured grandad of 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Loved brother of Jean May. A service celebrating the life of John will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, 1.30pm at Aoraki Funeral Services, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru. MACKINTOSH, Vivienne Mona

Passed away peacefully on Friday, 20th November 2020 at Resthaven Care Home. Dearly loved wife of the late Alexander. Cherished and great mother and mother-in- law of Bruce & Andrea, Barbara & Jim, and Sue Mackintosh. Lovely caring grandmother to Stephen, Nikki, Ben and Michael. A celebration of Vivienne’s life will be held at Trinity St Paul’s Union Parish of Cambridge, Queens Street, Cambridge, on Tuesday, 8th December 2020 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. ACKROYD, Ann Margaret(née McKenzie)

Passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday 26 November 2020, aged 80 years. Dearly beloved wife of Bob, and much loved Mum of Jo and Alec, Heather and Ross (Australia), Rowan (Australia), and Rebecca and Mike. Dearly loved sister of David and Heather (France). Cherished Grandma to her eight grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to Chalmers for their compassion and care of Ann. HORSLEY, Campbell Robert Woodward (Cam)

On Thursday 26 November 2020 Campbell passed away peacefully at home on his beloved farm, with family by his side, aged 72 years. Loved husband of Bridget. Hard working, mentor and wonderful father and father-in-law of Robert & Tennille, Nicholas & Kelly, and Christina & Hayden. Much loved G Dad to Olivia, Isabelle, Jessica & Rhyda and beloved Grandad Cam to Connor, Harrison, Carter and Zara. Beloved brother of Joan and Ruth.

FLUTEY, Paul Richard (Flutey)

On November 27, 2020, at Bethesda Hospital, aged 74 years, surrounded by his loving family. Much loved dear friend of Editha. Dearly loved father of Paul, loved brother, uncle and friend to many.

DEANS, Barbara Ruth (Ruth) (nee Duncan)

Peacefully, on November 23, 2020, aged 91. Cherished wife of the late Adrian (Donny). Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Charles and Jane; Penny and Andrew; Neil and Lynn; Lucinda and Mark. Dearly loved grandmother of Alexander, Catherine, and Georgina; Isabella, David, and Jamie; James, Nicholas, and Jonathon; Emily, Anna, and Fenella; Ben, Jack, and Guy. Proud great-grandmother of Lachlan, Matilda, and Jack. The family would like to thank Dr James Wong and the staff at Elmswood, including Magnolia and her team, and Val and her team, all of whom looked after Ruth so well. On Tuesday, 24 November 2020, aged 67 years. Soulmate, best friend and husband to Beryl. Loved and loving Dad to Peta, Neville (deceased), Geoff, Ruth & Annatia. Devoted Grandad to Ashley, Jack, Corbett, Brynae and Kershaw and Great-Grandad to Charlotte. Father and Grandfather-in-law to Daniel and Ollie. Loved and respected brother of Allan (deceased), Brian (deceased), Gavin, Dianne and Glenys. Brother-in-law of Jacqui, Jocelyn, Judy, John, Glenda, Tony and Joy, Mike and Annette, Ian and Christine. A service to celebrate and remember Ross will be held at Tauranga Park, 383 Pyes Pa Road, Tauranga, on Monday, 30 November 2020, at 1.30pm, followed by burial at the Pyes Pa Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a card expressing your special relationship with, and memories of Ross, would be very much appreciated by his family. PERHAM, Thelma

On Thursday, November 26, 2020, our very dearly loved mother peacefully took her final breath. A very loved mother of Lance and Deborah, loved mother-in-law of Wayne and Ann, and much loved nana to Jason, Vanessa and Jodie. She is now with Dad (the late Les Perham) whom she has been waiting to see for over 30 years. She will also be missed by her loved sister Phyllis, brother Melvin and late brothers Meville and Ron. Loved aunty to all of her nieces and nephews. A family gathering will be held on Sunday, December 6, from 1.00pm, at Deborah and Wayne’s place to celebrate Mum’s life.
