But there is another more adventurous side to grandmother-of-six Judy, who admits she is something of an adrenalin junkie with a secret ambition to complete every bungee jump in New Zealand!

In March, Judy and her husband Howard were on a trip to Queenstown when Judy decided she wanted to do the 43m bungee jump from Kawerau Bridge.

The Wairarapa Film Festival returns next week for its 5th birthday!

Highlights include tributes to legendary editor Annie Collins, silent film pioneer Lily Branscombe, the world premiere of Never Forgotten by local filmmaker Mark Pacey, 40th anniversary screenings of Barry Barclay’s The Neglected Miracle and screenings of Rob Sarkies’ Scarfies and Out of the Blue. You can also catch a Friday Night Thriller double feature of Rū and Coming Home In The Dark.

There are masterclasses for filmmakers working in all forms and at all skill levels with Annie Collins and Rob Sarkies. The festival also offers film talks, and panel discussions, giving audiences the chance to engage with industry professionals, learn new skills, and be inspired by the creative process.

The Autumn Programme runs from Wednesday 21 to Sunday 25 May in Wairarapa.
