My 2025 Prospa Local Business Hero nomination
I'd love to nominate BFT
Blockhouse Bay for the Prospa Local Business Hero Award. This isn't just a gym
— it's a true community hub.
Owners Jess and Andy Hart started as members themselves, so they understand what makes a great gym: a welcoming, supportive environment where mental and physical health are equally valued.
Their incredible team of coaches foster a space where everyone feels like family, no matter their ability or fitness level.
For their unwavering dedication to their members, their community, and the causes that matter, I can think of no better recipient for this award than BFT
Blockhouse Bay.
Sincerely,
Michelle

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
