TANNER, Jean Elizabeth Grace
Jean passed away peacefully on 11th October 2022 in her 101st year, at Thornleigh Park Rest Home. Much loved wife of the late Don. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Peter (dec) and Gillian, Kevin, Shirley (dec), Delwyn and David, Ian and Bess. Much loved Nana Tanner to her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Many thanks to the staff of Thornleigh Rest Home for their loving care of Jean over the last eight years. As per Jean’s wishes her cremation has taken place.

MBE, of Wanaka, (late of NZ Water Safety and NZ Swimming), died peacefully at the Aspiring Enliven Care Centre, in his 95th year, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Dearly loved husband and best friend for 72 years of the recently deceased Marjorie. Much loved and adored father and father-in-law of Carol and David Williams of Christchurch; Paul and Ruth of Ashburton; Wayne and Debbie of Hawea; and the late Neville. Treasured Grandfather of Tim and Sarah; Jeremy, Corey, Chelsea and Stacey; and Hannah; and his 16 great-grandchildren.

Our lovely Annette has left us. Adored wife of the late Ned, and wonderful mother and mother-in-law of George and Celia, and Maria and John. Much loved grandma of Phoebe and Hugo. Sister and sister-in-law of the John and Kath (both deceased), and the Maurice Connell (dec); also Pat and Dan (dec) Moran, and Mary McClymont (dec). Aunty Annette to the Connell clan (Tony and Deli, Linda and Bill, Bryan and Andrea), and the Moran-Coutts family (Mark, Deborah, Craig, and Julia). Included in Annette’s circle of love were Gayle Lauder; the Lyftogt families in the UK and Spain; special cousins; former neighbours from Taiko, Christchurch and Cass Bay; the walking group; the Chatswood friends; and her lifelong friends Maureen and Joy.
No longer walking the hills, she will walk beside us in
our memories.
Grateful thanks to the staff of Chatswood Retirement Village who supported Annette and provided amazing nursing care at the end.
