Darling 50 years treasured wife of Archdeacon Emeritus Harvey Ruru. Loved Mum, mother-in-law and Nana to Toni-Francis Ruru & Paul Darry; Laura-Anne Ruru & Brian Thomas, and Nana to Anahera (USA); Phillipa-Lee Ruru & Brent Neal; to her many loved nephews and nieces, especially Charles & Dave Priestly (Upper Hutt), Lisa Ramanui (Porirua), Wayne & the late Wyn Mansell & Judy (Wellington); Faye & Lorna Savage (Wainuiomata). Last of the 2 Ramanui Te Au Turoa remaining siblings out of 19. Passed away peacefully at Nazareth House on October 12, 2022, aged 86 years. Much loved wife of the late Maurice, dearly loved daughter of the late Patrick and Anne Clarke. A dear mum and mother-in-law of Carol and Mark Buckenham, John and Ange, and Christine and John Reid. Adored grandmother and great-grandmother to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Patricia and John Byers and Sister Anna Clarke, and a friend to many. A much loved member of our whanau, Louise passed peacefully at home on Wednesday 12 October 2022. Youngest daughter of Joy and John, sister of Svend and Celeste, Catherine and Dylan, Phillip and Rebecca, Ellen and Pete, Paul and Joella, Erik and Rachael. Aunty Louise to Noah, Peace, Olive, Beth, Kahu, Ani, Hana, Kitty, Elva and Sophie. All the family want to thank the wonderful people who have supported and cared for Louise throughout her 39 years. She touched many lives and everyone who met Louise knew how special she was. A service for Louise will be held at Our Lady’s Home of Compassion Chapel, 2 Rhine Street, Island Bay, Wellington, on Tuesday 18 October at 10.30am, followed by a private interment.
