Hello Everyone!
We are new to this Neighbourly family, but we hoped it could help us tell more people about the great activities we have on for women and young girls at Fernhall Study Centre! Fernhall Study Centre is a centre for the personal development of girls and women of all ages and creeds.

Our main activity of the year, kicking off in March is the SHE Leads Leadership Program for young women in years 7-13 and aims to equip them with confidence and skills to help them draw a sense of direction in their lives, discover a sense of purpose and to develop their abilities so that they can give their personal best within their school, home and wider community. The program provides an environment free from social pressure, where participants can develop lasting friendships.

The monthly sessions are comprised of:
- interactive presentations
- engaging discussions
- team activities
- impact projects
- individual mentoring

If you would like to know more about the SHE Leads Program, or about any of our activities at Fernhall, please feel free to visit our website www.fernhall.org... as well as the poster below with a few more of the SHE Leads details!

We hope to hear from you!

Difficult days for people who depend on paid work to keep their property and family...
The last day of work for most of those would be March 10.
"This has not been an easy process. We are very aware that these decisions will have a significant effect on staff and their families," O'Leary said in the newsletter.

He encouraged staff to support those affected, who would be visited by Work and Income this week.

The company was contacting other local employers and arranging workshops on CV writing and to discuss other support options.

The company was also expected to make a final decision this month on a revised structure for its exploration and geology team. Once that was made the company would know the impact on job numbers.

An OceanaGold staff member said almost half the 40 Waihī people working in exploration and geology faced uncertainty following an announcement at a meeting on January 15.

"We have mums and dads working with us, people with families who are tied to this area. We're really angry.

"We don't find out until March 1 who has got jobs and who doesn't ... so we're still fighting for our jobs."

We’re proposing some changes to the Waiapu Precinct in Onehunga’s town centre.

Panuku Development Auckland, supported by the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board, is exploring what Onehunga’s Waiapu block could look like in the future. The Waiapu block borders Church Street and Arthur Street adjacent to Onehunga Mall, including the parking lot next to the supermarket and the green space in the centre.

These are some of the things we are thinking about in the Waiapu Precinct:

• Improving public open space
• Creating walking and cycling paths through the site
• Providing new homes and places for businesses

We need your feedback

Go online to to provide feedback.
• Or submit your feedback in person at the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board office, 7-13 Pilkington Road, Panmure.

Submissions close 1 March 2020.
