Happy Saturday Everyone ☺!

-WOULD YOU WANT A WAXING SPECIALIST TO COME TO YOUR PLACE?-

My name is Salomé, I am French Beauty Therapist, with 10 years of experience in luxury spas around the world.

I have lived in NZ for the past 4 years, and can't help but notice that our ladies are lacking personnal time...

Trying to juggle between work, family life, fitness plans, house work and social life can make you feel overwhelmed at times, and doesn't allow much for self-care!

To help you stay on top of your game, I am thinking of offering mobile waxing services, and perhaps nails.

-HOW MANY OF YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED IN SUCH SERVICE?-

Please note that I am trained in both Hot and Strip Wax, and only willing to work with best quality products to ensure best results!

Thank you for your time 😊

Any ECE teachers or workers in the area? We NEED your stories for NZEI’s ECE pay equity campaign!

As you probably already know, despite being some of the most important people in young children’s lives, early childhood teachers and workers are some of the lowest paid people in NZ. We nurture children’s learning at the most crucial time in their education, yet we are undervalued and underpaid, just because our work has historically been done by women.

The movement for pay equity is about righting this wrong. Here is a link to a video that provides a useful overview of what is meant by ‘pay equity’ and what the campaign will involve:
youtu.be...

We’re collecting evidence for our claim at the moment and we need your stories.

Teacher’s, just a couple of sentences about why you think pay equity is important, what a difference it would make to you, and what you love about working in ECE, is all that’s needed.

And supporters, what difference have early childhood teachers made in the lives of you and your children. Why do you think they deserve pay equity?

Share your stories in the comments or PM me and I’ll forward them to NZEI. Alternatively, email them directly to Rebecca Matthews-Heron, part of NZEI’s Pay Equity Team at: rebecca.matthews-heron@nzei.org.nz. Remember, every voice counts. We can’t do this unless we band together.

And if you haven’t already, PLEASE join us in making this historic claim for pay equity and sign up to the campaign: campaigns.nzei.org.nz....

Make an effort to put children first

Do you think fireworks should be banned?

Mandy Te Reporter from East & Bays Courier

Hi neighbours! Yesterday, Auckland Council's governing body agreed to push for a ban on the private use and sale of fireworks. Locals will soon be consulted on this. What do you think? Should fireworks be banned?

Please add NP if you do not wish for your comment to be used in print.
