Tawa Community Safety meeting
The Tawa Community Board is organising a Community Safety meeting on Thursday 24 June. A Q & A session session will follow our speakers. Priority will be given to questions emailed beforehand to tawacommunityboard@wcc.govt.nz
The meeting will involve:
• the Police
• Tawa Community Patrol
• WCC community safety team
• Neighbourhood Support initiatives
• Tawa Business Group representative
• and we are endeavouring to get a business representative along to speak about vehicle immobilisers, alarms and tracking. If anyone knows of someone offering these products/services who might be willing to come, please let us know.
We are not specifically covering roading and traffic issues at this meeting.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
