Majestic Mana Island.
I was lucky enough to take a trip with the Department of Conservation to the beautiful Mana Island today. Have you been?
It seems incredible that this pest-free paradise is only 25 minutes by boat from Porirua.
I'll be writing a story about it soon but would love to know how many locals have visited the island?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
