Music Lessons – Piano, Violin, Cello
The Music Learning Centre is in our home in Redwood, Tawa. Lessons are available for students of all levels on Piano, Violin/Viola & Cello. Also Theory/Composition etc.
The Piano/Theory teacher is Craig Utting, M.Mus., LTCL, QSM. Craig is a nationally known composer, arranger, pianist and viola player, and also typesets music for European publishers.
Dr. Elizabeth Sneyd QSM teaches the string instruments – she has a Phd. in Maths with a Minor in Music (violin) from UW in Madison, Wisconsin. Liz is an excellent teacher, who enjoys the challenge of adapting her teaching to find the best way for each student to learn.
Elizabeth and Craig also run the Virtuoso Strings Charitable Trust: Liz teaches 120+ students for free in low-decile schools in East Porirua. Together, with the help of other volunteers, Craig and Liz also run the Virtuoso Strings Orchestra, which is free for all who would like to join.
