Police encourage people to take the time to secure their bike, as … View moreWellington Police have received numerous reports of bicycles stolen by opportunistic thieves throughout the CBD in the last few months.
A number of the bikes stolen were unlocked, or left unsecured in carports or on properties. Police encourage people to take the time to secure their bike, as it's the best way to prevent theft. They recommend a solid D-lock, as some smaller bike locks are easily cut through.
