A number of the bikes stolen were unlocked, or left unsecured in carports or on properties. Police encourage people to take the time to secure their bike, as it's the best way to prevent theft. They recommend a solid D-lock, as some smaller bike locks are easily cut through.
If you have information about stolen bicycles, please call Police on 105, 0800 555 111, or if you see a crime taking place, call 111 immediately.
