Happy New Year!
And just like that, another Toastmasters year has come to an end! Thank you to everyone who supported the Newtown club through the 2018/19 year including our outgoing District Officers Sarah Davy and Glen Pearce. It was lovely to see everyone join in the celebrations on Wednesday and look back at the last 12 months.
Newtown Toastmasters is now 2 years old and has been doing plenty of walking and talking! We've had Halloween and Xmas-themed meetings, we've hosted an Area Contest, as well as running community workshops to achieving milestone DTM's in the club! It's certainly been a roller coaster of a year! Let's keep the momentum going and start the 2019/20 new year with a bang! Our next meeting is Wed 10th July at the Centre! Hope to see you all there!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
