Summer Garden Open Days Saturday and Sunday 4th and 5th March 202310.30am - 4pm
You are welcome to come and explore our garden this weekend. As it will the the last opening for this Summer we may open both days (depending on the weather) so please keep an eye out on this page. We have 633m2 of themed garden areas on a sloping east facing terraced property. If you are wanting ideas for what you can do with your garden you will hopefully find some inspiration here. I will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
We have steps and sloping paths but most people seem to manage them OK. There are plenty of seats so take your time and enjoy sitting in the different areas to absorb their special ambience. Different themes in the garden rooms encompass French, Asian, Subtropical, Mediterannean, topiary and meadow styles. We also grow a lot of herbs, vegetables, fruits and dahlias.
It is too expensive to advertise so please tell your friends in the Wellington region who may be interested. All welcome. Entry by donation please.

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
