So, talk to your mates, colleagues, family etc… View moreThe Johnsonville Bowling Club’s highly popular Twilight Community Bowls is back again soon, in the New Year. This is a social summer league competition held every Tuesday for 8 weeks beginning the 12th January 2021. It is open to anyone and everyone. So, talk to your mates, colleagues, family etc and make up a team of four. The cost is $30 per team ($7.50 per player) each week and for that you get 2 games of bowls and a free burger. The bar will also be open, and there will be raffles and lucky team prizes.

Games commence at 6.00 pm each Tuesday and all bowls and equipment are supplied. Just bring along your flat soled shoes.

Get your entries in soon, as the competition is limited to 32 teams. Email your entry with your name and contact phone number to: jbcbowls.org.nz

Ratepayers have forked out more than $350,000 on public relations experts hired by Wellington Water in the past year to manage major network failures.
Wellington Water spent spent $354,621 on media management contractors between November 2019 and December 2020.
Upper Hutt Mayor Wayne Guppy was also disappointed with the figure, saying the money spent on external consultants was “outrageous”.
A Wellington Water spokesperson said the organisation had a small communications team of three people covering community engagement, marketing and digital communications, and general communications.
