Imagine that a large earthquake has struck the Wellington region. You've just made it home and checked on your family and neighbours. What do you do next?

We are opening up the Community Emergency Hub at Plateau School, where you can come along and...

- Learn about how your community can respond to the challenges of an emergency,
- Get to know your community emergency hub,
- Practice how it might pan out during a major event AND
- Meet your neighbours who will be a huge support when you need it most.

Disruptions can happen at any time! Whether it’s the seasonal flu, the power being out a couple of days, or a significant event like the big quake, you can plan for disruptions to help minimise the impact on your business. This workshop steps through some key considerations for you and your staff so you will be better prepared in the event of a disruption.

Upper Hutt business owners or a staff representative are invited to join us for the workshop from 5:30pm on Tuesday the 22nd of October for drinks and nibbles at Expressions Whirinaki Arts and Entertainment Centre. There will be an opportunity to explore the Beyond the Cordon exhibition prior to the workshop commencing at 6pm.
