Peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, on December 14, 2022, surrounded by his daughters, aged 91 years. Dearly loved father of Pati, Kopo, Vao (deceased), Angela, Kate, Kathryn, and Radha, father-in-law of Victor, proud grandfather of Jarvo, and a much loved uncle. HADDOCK, Linda (Steel)

Passed peacefully on 15th December 2022 in Hastings Hospital, Aotearoa, New Zealand. Beloved wife of Daniel for 48 years, much-loved mother of Ben and mother-in-law to Beyza, cherished Grandma of Isabella and Isaac (New Jersey), older sister to Peter (Eyemouth) and Douglas (Denbigh), sister-in-law to Kate (Santa Barbara) and Aunty to Erin (Tacoma). Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, volunteers, staff and chaplains in the Cardiology, Stroke and Surgical wards at Hastings Hospital, as well as the medical and support staff at Brittany House, Hastings. A memorial service will be held, 5.30pm, 21st December, at Birdwoods, 298 Middle Road, Havelock North.

Peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, aged 92 years. Loved husband of the late Elena. Love Dad of Craig, Lorraine, Jason, and Troy. Loved Granddad of his 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to all the staff at Jack Inglis and Nelson Hospital for their care of Eric. A service to celebrate Eric’s life will be held at the Golden Bay Motueka Funeral Centre, 8 Inglis Street, Motueka on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 11.00am, to be followed by his interment at Motueka Cemetery.

For over 22 years Susan ran the very successful ASCOT House programme at Tainui Village. Her diligence and passion were reflected in the pleasure that the members derived from their weekly "date". Interests were varied and included writing rhyme, playing bridge, gardening and interior decorating. Tainui Villa residents and staff extend their deep sympathy to Terry and family.

Passed peacefully with family at Peacehaven, Invercargill on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Adored husband of 59 years of Jean*. Beloved father and father-in-law of David and Tracy*, Carolyn and Derek, Thomas and Alamein, and Jenny and Greg. Special and adored grandfather of Christopher, Kayla, and Brodie, Loren, and Robyn, Jana, Alicia, Josh and Rachael, Anton, Grayson, Charlotte, and Harrison. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Alistair*, Jim and Brenda, Eleanor and Owen, and Bill and Margaret, Heather* and Basil*, Fraser and Lesley, Leita and Ross*. REDDY, Peter Hunter

At Bob Scott Retirement Village in Petone on 14 December 2022 – one day short of his 95th. Adored father and first best friend of Lisa, committed Grandpa (the best ever) to Tylee, and father-in-law to Peter (Junior) Hewett. Peter was the last surviving of his brother Arthur, and sister Marie, and widower of Lenora who passed away in July 2021 – they are now together.
Love and miss you always.
Thank you to the staff at the Village for their exceptional care of Peter, and support to his family, particularly in his final weeks in the Care Centre. Thank you also to the residents whose support of Peter after Lenora passed was so much appreciated. Private family arrangements have been made at Peter’s request. Passed away peacefully in Nelson Hospiltal, surrounded by his family, on Friday, December 16, 2022, aged 80. Dearly loved husband of Rongo, beloved father and father-in-law to Alice and Paul, Richard and Deborah, Richard (dec), Brent , Robert and Kim. Grandfather of Robyn, Kodi, Emma, Mya, and Tane, and Great-Grandfather of Aria and Koia. Brother of Eliane, Sheryl, Rhonda, Carol, Carol (Topine), Anthony (dec), Maurice (dec), Jan (dec) and Lynn (dec). Richard’s ashes will be interred with his father. Eddie will be welcoming visitors at the Onetahua Marae, Pohara Valley, Takaka, from December 17-20, concluding with a graveside service on Monday, December 20 at 2.00pm, at Rototai Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully at Radius Heatherlea on Thursday 15 December 2022, aged 95 years. Loved wife and sparring partner of the late John. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Ian (deceased) and Vivienne. Loved aunt of Graeme and Alistair Drayton (her dude); adored aunt of her nieces (daughters she never had), Diane and Lesley (Laz). Much loved great-aunt. In lieu of flowers, a donation would be appreciated to the New Plymouth Community Committee, Blind Foundation, and may be left at the service. A service to remember and celebrate Cicely’s life will be held at St James Presbyterian Church, Lawry Street, New Plymouth, on Monday 19 December 2022 at 1.00pm.

Farewell to our darling Ros who passed away on December 8, 2022 at Christchurch Hospital, after a long battle with MS, 51 years old. Ros never complained, had so much love to give and always thought of others. Much loved wife of Peter and mother of Troy. Dearly loved daughter of Ann and Christopher (deceased) and step daughter of John. Dearly loved sister of Catherine (Cate), Suzanne, Bevan and Anthony. Passed peacefully with her husband and children at her side, after a short battle with cancer, on December 12, 2022, aged 52 years. Deeply loved wife and soulmate of Ian, treasured mum of Evangeline, Trinity, and Dominic, loved daughter of David and Janet Sharman, and loved by all her extended family, many friends, and colleagues. Heartfelt thanks to Dr David Gibbs, the staff at Christchurch Hospital Oncology, and Nurse Maude.
