HUTCHINGS, Geraldine Mary (nee Molloy)

1.12.1944 — 16.12.2022
It is with great sadness that we announce that Geraldine (Gerry) passed away on Friday 16 December 2022. She was a much loved wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother and friend. She was a midwife and delivered many babies in Upper Hutt (Elderslea Hospital) and Wellington (St Helen’s). An avid gardener and bird watcher, she spent many hours in the garden. A knitter and quilter, she enjoyed creating things for friends and family. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. A service to celebrate Gerry’s life will be held in St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1 Pine Avenue, Upper Hutt, on Thursday 22 December at 10.30am.

On December 17, 2022. Dearly loved son of the late Selwyn and Ida. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Janet and the late Bob Hopkins, and Catherine and the late Geoff Ashton. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

Of Carterton. On 14th December 2022 peacefully at Carter Court. Aged 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Stuart. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Andrew and Kirsten (Masterton), Prue and Greg Jones (Paraparaumu), David (Brush) and Leanne (Greytown), Ross and Eileen (Greytown), and the late Hugh (Bomb). Special friend of Leonie. Cherished Gran/Nanny of Jeremy & Alice, Cody & Amy, Cameron & Eilish, Kelsey & Chaz; Jay, and Aimee; Gemma & Keith; Sarah & Scott, Kelly & AJ; Hamish, Jordan (dec), Jesse, and Luke. A much loved Great-Grandmother, Aunt and friend to many. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of Carter Court for their care of Mum and our family.

Peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, December 17, 2022, aged 88 years. Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at Waikato Hospital on 16th December 2022. Aged 89 years. Formerly of Huntly. Dearly loved husband of the late Joyce. Loved father of Debra, Bev, Maurice and Ann, Sue and Steve. Proud poppa of 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Passed away on 18th December 2022, aged 69 years. Devoted partner to Evelyn & close family friend. Father of Glen, Amy & Dean. Suddenly on Saturday, 17th December, 2022. A loved and respected member of the triathalon, coaching and business community. Passed away suddenly at home on December 12, 2022, half way through a beer. Loved husband and friend of Joy Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Marie and Phil and Stephen and Ceridwen.
