Death

RYAN, Mark Ignatius

12 September 1955 —
31 December 2022
Mark ‘slipped the surly bonds of this world’ suddenly and unexpectedly doing what he loved best – working on his beloved farm. He was a fun, funny, loyal "good man" (one of his favourite expressions). He loved being outdoors on the farm, his ’wee angel’ and family. He was constantly running into old rugby mates and had a passion for the game. I used to joke that he had ‘rugby balls’ for pupils. His favourite Sunday afternoon pastime was heeding the ‘siren’s call’ of ‘Cave Pub’ – a place where everyone knew his name. Did I mention he could be frustratingly stubborn? He was a ‘non-material guy’ who always flew coach and was happiest driving his ancient tractor. He will be sorely missed.
Gone too soon and forever in my heart – rest in peace Mark, your loving partner Jill.
There will be a gathering to celebrate Mark’s life and share memories on Friday, January 6, at the Pleasant Point Rugby Club Rooms at 3.00pm.
