Peacefully at Oakwoods Residential Care. He has gone through the veil from this mortal life to life eternal with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Loving husband of the late Peggy June. Dad and father-in-law to Bruce and Sarah (Nelson), Susan and Reg Hellesoe (Auckland), David and Nicky (Auckland), and Fergus and Kim (Springston). A granddad of 12 and great-granddad of 8. Our thanks to the staff at Oakwoods for their care of Don these past 2 years. A private cremation has been held. A memorial service for Don’s family and friends will be held at St Paul’s Church, Brightwater, on Saturday, January 7, at 2.00pm.
BRASELL, Alan Raymond
Loving husband of the late Carolyn, passed away peacefully in the care of the Maida Vale Rest Home in Bell Block, New Plymouth on Friday, December 23, 2022; aged 77. Much loved and sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Kathy and Janet plus his brothers Brian, Vern and Robin plus his foster sister Elison Mae and their families. Born 28 October 1940 in Coventry, England. Passed away peacefully on 26 December 2022 in Auckland, aged 82. Special thanks to the staff at Auckland City Hospital. Peacefully on December 24, 2022, at Ashburton Hospital, aged 75. A much loved mum of Kim and Richard. Dearly loved nana of Amber. A loved partner of Barry. A much loved sister and sister-in-law of Joan and Henry Williams and the late Gay Cowie. Much loved by all her friends. She was always there for everyone. And beloved Momma to her children and partners Don and Andy, Doug and Vicky, Vikki and Ian… and another Ian. And Granny to a dozen grandchildren and Great-Granny to a baker’s dozen. We are deeply thankful to the district nursing and hospice staff, especially ‘Saint’ Vanessa. A funeral service will be held at Poroutawhao Community Hall, 800 State Highway 1, Poroutawhao, on Thursday 5th January 2023 at 11.00am.
