Passed peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, December 29, 2022, aged 84. Adored husband and soulmate of Helen (nee Shatford) for 61 glorious years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Debra and Peter Hyde and Sharon and Warren Briden. Proud granddad of Samuel, Thomas, Oliver, Kelsey, Christopher, Kelly, James and Julie and great-granddad of his eight great-grandchildren. Loved and respected brother and brother-in-law to Heather and David Leigh (dec), Isabel and the late Alan Mills, and the Shatford family.

Lynette, Parker, Grungy died peacefully in Auckland on 29 December 2022, aged 95. Loved sister of Jenny, Adrienne, Graeme, Miles and Stephen. Loved mother of Paul, Karen and Robert and grandmother to Tom, Ellie, Joseph and Mietta. At her request, no funeral will be held. No flowers please.

Passed away peacefully on December 24, 2022, in her 87th year. Dearly loved wife of Tony, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Terry and Karyn, Ramon and Theresa, and Kirstine and Jason. Treasured Nenny of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A very special thanks to all who have cared for Mary over the past year. RAWLINSON, Joan Winifred

With great sadness we confirm the passing of Joan, (known to her grandchildren as Marnie), on Monday 26th December 2022 at Hospice Waikato. Aged 72 years. She will be greatly missed by her husband Keith, four children, eight grandchildren, and numerous other family members who were all so dear to her heart. Facing illness with the same courage and strength she demonstrated through her love for us, Mum fought hard and we are all so proud of her. We were blessed to have her in our lives, but it gives us comfort to know that she is now at peace.

of us all.’

Peacefully at Christchurch Hospital after a brief illness, on Thursday, December, 29, 2022, aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband of Annette for 63 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Donna and Mike Shine, Lynette, Carolyn, Andrew and Karen. Adored grandpa of Holly, and Courtenay; Emma, Thomas, and Alice; Dion, and Ethan. Passed away peacefully on Thursday 29th December 2022. Aged 101 years. Beloved wife of the late Ken. PARKER, Joan Elizabeth(nee Pinfold)

We are deeply saddened by the death of our mother in Dunedin on 29 December 2022. Born in Palmerston North on 14 October 1934, Joan was the daughter of the late Bill and Grace, sister of Don (dec), Cecily (dec), and Judy. Cherished mother of Fiona & the late Barry; David & Barbara; Christine & David; Louise & Max. Granny to Sam & Zoe; Ruby, Oscar & Molly; Madeline & Annabel; Zac, Leo & Evie. Great-Granny of Aika. Joan died peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family, with the concert programme playing. Joan left school at 15 but along the way earned her B.Ed, LTCL, ATCL and DipTchg. She lived a spirited life as a violinist, soprano soloist, an activist for ALRANZ and many other causes. A keen gardener, home renovator, and traveller. Passed away peacefully at home in Taumarunui on December 28, 2022, after a long illness. Loved husband of Dianne, dad and father-in-law of Nathalie, Stuart and Aimee, and Grandad of Sienna. He will be taken to Taupo Crematorium on Saturday 31st with a service at the small chapel at 1.00pm for close family and friends.
