Passed away peacefully in Dannevirke on 31st December 2022, in her 99th year with her children by her side. Daughter of the late Harold and Marjorie Hunt;Very dear wife of the late Ian McGibbon of Waitahora. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Ian and Sonia, Catherine (Kate) and Brian Collie, Hamish, Fiona (deceased) and Denis Goulding, and Morven and Andy MacInnes. Treasured grandmother of Kirstin, Morag, Lorna, Sally, Melody, Sarah, Nadia, Callum, Bryce, Arama, Hamish, Alistair, Hayley, Lorna, Chelsea, Andrew, Rachel and Johnny and great-grandmother of Aidan, Kyran, Brodie, Ayla, Catlin, Calvin, Julian, Oskar, Luka, Theo, Malayka, Maia, Selma, Marlow, Te Ariki, Max, Bonnie, Peyton, Indigo, Beau, Lotus, Remy, Roman, Aurora, Freya, Willow, Archer and Wolfe. A celebration of Doreen’s life will be held at Kowhai Chapel, 51 Denmark Street, Dannevirke, on Saturday, 7th January 2023 at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Mangatera Lawn Cemetery.
