Loving Dad of John, Leigh, Raewyn, Greg and Kerry. Father-in-law of Scotty, Rod, Kaye and Len. Special Grandad of Max, Brent, Lisa, Darin and the late Gemma, Kieran, Racheal, Michael and Kelly. Great-grandad to Deakon, Kailah & Mayson, Mia & Eddie, Bailee. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Bruce and Robin Judd, Roydon and Eva Knox, the late Lou and Erin Vooght, Geoff and Margaret Vooght, Mon and Rex Mumby. Passed away peacefully at home on Friday 6th January 2023, at aged 83. Loving wife of Henare (Billy P) Pepere (dec). Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Diane (dec), Roha and Adriane, Henry, Gordon and Fran, Maree and Clinton, and David (dec). Adored and cherished Nan to her many mokopunas. Much loved by her brothers and sisters. COMMANE, Robert John
In the steadfast love of the lord that never ceases, and his mercies that never come to an end, Robert (Bob) John Commane passed away on 7th January 2023. Beloved husband of Christine, esteemed father of Ryan and Damian, endeared father-in-law of Fran and Char, cherished grandfather of Jesse, Ryan, Aaliyah, Amy-leigh, Joel, and Zion, and great-grandfather in every sense of the word of Atticus. Bob’s spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of his descendants and they’ll be bathing their lips and their dry dusty throats at the Opunake Bowling Club, after the completion of the 11.00am Service on 10th January at Our Lady, Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Opunake, followed by his interment at the Opunake Cemetery.

HUNTER, John David
John was born in Nelson on September 14, 1945 to Lorna and Lew Hunter. John passed away in Australia on December 20, 2022, after a long illness. He will be sadly missed by wife Lyn, children Ashley and Karen, his much loved grandchildren and his sister Yvonne (Penman). A funeral to be held in Sydney at 1.00pm (Australian time) on January 23, 2023 will be livestreamed. The family plan to have a memorial gathering for John in Nelson later this year.
