Passed peacefully at Duart Rest Home, Havelock North, on 5 January 2023 with his family by his side. Loving and treasured husband of the late Tiny (Noeline, nee Phillips) for 54 years. On Friday 6 January 2023, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Riverstone Care Centre, Palmerston North. Dearly loved husband of Adrienne for 65 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Heather and Phil Mann, Fiona and Kim Duckworth, Barbara and Dean Lawrence, and Rob and Adele Kirk. Cherished grandad of Kirsty, Sarah, Simon, Alec, Sam, Rachel and Jarrod, and great-grandad of Nathan and Hamish. Bruce was born 1934 in Wellington, grew up in Auckland and spent most of his adult life in the Manawat area as a school teacher and principal, musician and farmer. The family thank the staff of Riverstone Care Centre who have cared for him in recent times and continue to care for Mum. A service to celebrate Bruce’s life will be held at 1.00pm, on Thursday 12 January at the Salvation Army Citadel, 431 Church St, Palmerston North, followed by afternoon tea.
