Y-Art Open Studio - Watercolours by Therese

Therese from Burnside

A wonderful, rare opportunity!

I am a local watercolour artist who is passionate about New Zealand birds and landscapes. I paint in my studio at home, which is located at the end of a picturesque cottage garden path. Our garden currently has about 60 dahlias out in flower.

From Sat 20 to Sun 28 January 2024, I am opening my art studio to the public. A small gallery is set up in my studio to display some of the work that I do.

You are most welcome to come along and see some of my work, and find out what has inspired me to paint. Flags will be at the entrance, so just follow the signs to my studio at the end of the garden.

Apart from the paintings, I also create craft pendants and earrings which are also for sale. Eftpos is available and parking is on the street.

Note: More of my artwork is also on display in the Liffey Gallery (Lincoln) from Wed 24 January to Sunday 18 February 2024.

My studio is open to the public:- Sat 20 to Sun 28 January 2024, 10 am – 3 pm.

Location: - 60 Greers Road (close to Memorial Ave), Burnside, Christchurch.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
