So who owns your Google Ads Account?

Happy Monday Limited

We often come across businesses who don't own, or even have access to, their account.

Often we have to rebuild the client’s account because the previous agency is unable or unwilling to release their account.

As a transparent agency we never open Google Ads accounts in our own name. It's always the client’s account and in their name.

Some of the reasons Agencies give for not handing over your ad account

The account was created under our manager account and can’t be unlinked. Not true. Google Ad account's can be unlinked from a manager account.

The account was set up under our agency billing account and can't be transferred. Again not true, billing settings can be changed anytime.

The Ad account is our IP. While this can be tricky and while the account does contain their work, you have paid for this service, and the data essentially belongs to you.

If we give you access you will see our client's data. Also not true. The account structure in Google allows you to can gain access to just to your account.

The most important reason you should control your own business account is that this online activity is important to your business.

We believe these accounts and data should still be yours to access and control at any time.

Share your New Zealand music memories...

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It's NZ Music Month and New Zealand really has some beautiful songs from artists that we call our own.

Whether it's April Sun in Cuba, Don't Forget your Roots, or How Bizarre or Bic Runga's 'Sway' - songs have a way of unlocking memories and evoking old feelings.

In honour of NZ Music Month, share a New Zealand song or artist that is special to you and explain why.

Poll: What could the Christchurch City Council fund if it didn't have to pay GST on rates?

Nicole Mathewson Reporter from The Press

Christchurch mayor Phil Mauger says GST on rates, currently taken by central government, would be better spent locally.

The comments follow an Infometrics analysis that found over $1.1 billion of rates revenue nationwide was collected by the Government in 2022 as GST.

According to Infometrics, $88.5m of that came from Christchurch city ratepayers. It would be enough to save the Christ Church Cathedral from ruin; restore the Dux de Lux seven times over; cover both the Art Centre and Orana Wildlife Park’s request for regular public funding for over 26 years; contribute to light rail in Greater Christchurch; or get the South Library rebuild completed.
