Mindfulness Retreat Day– Refresh your practice 3 December

Take a full day to experience the joy of living life from the centered space of presence. Rest in a sense of peace and spaciousness. Renew your connection with yourself and the practice of mindfulness.

WHAT: You will have time for quiet contemplation, and nourishing reflection, meditation, gentle movement, relaxation, options for some non-structured time and enjoyment of nature.

WHO: Join with a group, some of who will be one month into their Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course. This day is designed to deepen meditation practice, and will suit those who have some experience of meditation.

AT: Mary MacKillop Retreat Centre, Kohimarama, Saturday 3 December 9.30 – 4

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
