Attention: Parents of 10-24-year-olds!
Some things that I can be hugely grateful for are the friends I have around me, the journey I have been through with past and present friends, and the personal discoveries I have made along the way.
Friendships are up there at the top with the most important things in our lives, yet for so many teens and tweens, instead, friendship issues, finding their 'people', and the self-worth shake-ups that arise as a result, are up there at the top with the most challenging areas to navigate.
There's nothing more valuable than feeling loved, connected, seen, and received for who we are. This has never been something I've had trouble understanding, but this year, with all of the ups and downs of life, the work I do, and the people who support me, I am understanding and feeling its power on a whole new level.
This is why I'm humbled and honoured to be sharing some insights, tools, and lessons collated from both my own life/work and the lives of those I have worked with over the years, at this wonderful upcoming event: 'Thriving Teens & Tweens'.
This is an in-person event, which is really exciting! I will be part of an amazing panel of speakers who will be exploring all kinds of crucial topics that affect our youth today (see the link for more info!). You won't want to miss this interactive, dynamic, meaningful night of connection, wisdom, and support.
Date and time: Wed, 11 August 2021 | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: St Chads Church & Community Centre
38 Saint Johns Road
This event is brought to you by Natalie Cutler-Welsh: Go to Girl Ltd and proudly supported by the I'm Enough Trust.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
