The Year of the Pig is set to dawn and Auckland’s Chinese community is busily organising celebrations across the city.
In the Howick Local Board area, there are two events, the first on 10 February at the Botany Town Centre and the second on 11 February at the Pakuranga Plaza, both from 2pm.

Hi neighbours! The rescuing continues and I have a wee Ginger girl here (only 1 in 3 ginger cats are girls!) who needs a forever home! She is about 3 months old, has come off the streets and I've been working with her to make her more confident but she needs someone to focus solely on her and give her lots of attention, and I have a lot of cats to look after at the moment!
She cannot go to a home with small children as she will scratch if she gets a fright. Once you pick her up, she will snuggle happily, but you will need to earn her trust. The last kitty I had like this went to a teenage girl who lavished her with attention and she was a different kitten when I saw her next, so I'm confident she just needs a knowledgeable, patient home who understands her quirks!
She comes de-sexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and de-flea'd, and there will be a cost associated with her so I can continue the work I'm doing :-) Contact me for more information, and let's talk!
