Rise in Street Litter
I am noticing a significant increase in the amount of street litter around Auckland.People can we keep our empty soda cans, plastic bottles and fastfood packaging in our cars or on your person UNTIL YOU GET HOME or FIND A RUBBISH BIN.Dispose of waste responsibly.Road side edges and grass islands are becoming an eyesore(plus it's NOT at all good for the environment).NZs "clean and green" reputation is diminishing. To The Auckland Council, I ask: what has happened to the litter patrol guys on the motorcycles; to the frequent stormwater drain suction cleans and to the road side sweeping? A good number of stormwater drains are visibly blocked with RUBBISH.Some areas are now experiencing street flooding when it rains heavily. When each area had it's own council, streets were cleaner and drains were clean. This Super City Council is not coping.Let's do better at keeping Auckland and NZ CLEAN.Throw your drink and takeout rubbish in a bin,NOT ON THE STREET and tell others to do the same.
Lest we forget...
On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.

We definitely need homes that are fit to live in but there are often frustrations when it comes to getting consent to modify your own home.
