As part of the Festival of Frights 2025, Howick Historical Village presents this fun, family-friendly Halloween at the Village experience!
Trick-or-treat your way around the Victorian Village, but beware of the fiendish and frightening villagers lurking in the creepy cottages and other spooky sites!
Explore the decorated grounds, complete our Halloween and head out on a scary scavenger hunt. Visit the sweet shop filled with old-fashioned lollies and fudge. There are outdoor picnic areas, and BYO food is welcome.
Plan out your costumes and get set for a night of ghoulish good times!

The Kōnae map shows past and present places in Aotearoa New Zealand like children’s homes, hospitals, orphanages, boarding schools, Youth Justice facilities and many more.
Each place on the map has details about who was responsible for running it and how to get records.
