Playing Neil Young on vinyl on East FM Saturday arvo
Now that Neil Young has withdrawn his extensive music catalogue from a certain streamer, we’re going back to old ways – playing his Comes A Time vinyl record on this arvo’s She’ll Be Right on Saturdays Show with PJ Taylor, 3-7pm (NZ time) on East FM.
Had to laugh recently when hearing a DJ on another radio station asking listeners: What are you going to do now you can’t listen to Neil Young on Spotify? My reaction was, well, I’m going to spin the hardcopy albums, CDs and, yes, even cassettes.
Comes A Time represents a return to my roots, a gorgeous country-themed work released in 1978 that hasn’t a dud song, and with all the madness in the world presently, it’s the perfect album to play in entirety at 5pm to momentarily forget the serious issues facing mankind.
Other records have also been pulled as we’ll also take our usual tour of all the music neighbourhoods on The She’ll Be Right Show with PJ, strumming out of East FM, East Auckland’s vibrant community-powered public service radio station, on 88.1FM and 107.1FM on local frequencies, nationally and globally at www.eastfm.nz... and on app iHeart Radio.
It’s all about the vibe; it’s all about the groove. – PJ… in the Field of Opportunity it’s ploughing time again…
accommodation in Wellington
Hi everyone,
I’m moving to Wellington for work and looking for a place from 16 February 2026. I’m 22 and starting a full-time role as a young graduate professional in IT/Data Science in the CBD.
I’m tidy, respectful, quiet, non-smoker, and like keeping my space clean. Outside of work I enjoy music and photography, but I do keep things quiet at home. I don’t have a car, so good bus access or train to the CBD is important.
What I’m after:
-Prefer living alone (studio/bedsit) but open to a quiet flat too
- Easy bus access or walking distance to the CBD
- Furnished
- Close to a supermarket
- Long-term
- Budget up to $400/week
- Move in early Feb 2026 or late Jan
Just checking if you know any places
Thank you
Regards, Reuben

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
