Dogs in Parks

Pamela from Bucklands Beach

I don't mind but in some parks they do need to be put on a lead.

A person with a dog has been seen letting his dog run off the lead in Mooneys North Bridge Reserve. There are Ducks and Ducklings there. Dogs kill Ducklings.

We have been visited by a Duck and originally 11 Ducklings, and since their birth only 4 Ducklings remain. I am sure it is not just the Pukakos and the rats...

Then off course I am not sure I saw a notice or not regarding please put dogs on a lead in this area. While it may seem fine by Pakuranga School, it is not OK anywhere near the creek.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!

🆘 Urgent – Missing Cat (Priestley Drive)

Judy from Bucklands Beach

Hi neighbours,

Our 5-year-old female cat has been missing for almost a full day, and we are extremely worried.

She is an indoor and backyard-only cat and has never gone beyond our garden before, so this is very unusual for her.

📍 Last seen: Priestley Drive
📞 Contact: 022 640 1997

If you have seen her, or if she may be hiding in a garage, shed, or under a house, please check and contact us immediately.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your help.

Regards
Judy
