Poll: Do you support a rates rise of 5 per cent in Auckland?

Caryn Wilkinson Reporter from Community News

Hi neighbours,

Aucklanders will see their rates bills soar 5 per cent to help counteract a $1 billion fall in council revenue over the next four years.

The one-off hike, up from a planned 3.5 per cent increase, will add $36 to the rates bill of an average value home before annual increases return to the previous path of 3.5 per cent rises.

The proposed increase is included in the update of Auckland Council's 10-year budget, which starts in July.

Please put NFP if you do not want your comments used by Stuff.

Does anyone have a "Jumbo Round" Springfree Trampoline I can view for size?

Lisa Parfitt from Team Parfitt Property

Does anyone have a Jumbo Round Springfree Trampoline that I can view to see how large it is in real life - it seems massive and the store is in the South Island so impossible to view / test without hopping on a plane - worried it's going to consume the garden - would so appreciate being able to view one in the flesh. Thanks.

Lisa Parfitt from Team Parfitt Property

"Lisa and Wayne Parfitt are an asset to Barfoot & Thompson. They were extremely professional both with myself and the people attending the open homes. I felt comfortable leaving my home in their care and I was updated regularly with feedback of what interest had been shown. I would highly recommend Lisa and Wayne, who understand the current market and who did their utmost to ensure my home was marketed in such a way as to attain the great price I received."
