The efforts of people in the East Auckland community have been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours. The people who received honours over the weekend included; John Roy-Woljciechowski, Ray Haffenden, Graeme Steel, Hamish Crooks, Fraser Faulknor and Gair McRae.
