Lion and dragon dances are more than just performances
For many, the deafening sounds of gongs, drums and cymbals, colourful costumes, and the rhythmic and dramatic movements of the lion and dragon dance are just routines of a Chinese celebration.
But in the eyes of East Auckland businessman Peter Low, who has been performing and teaching the dances for decades, they're something worth his devotion of a lifetime.
