Successful Fundraising for Sweet Louise
đź’• Last Friday, the volunteers at Botany and Pakuranga CABs held a fundraiser for Sweet Louise. Sweet Louise supports men and women with advanced (incurable) breast cancer.
🌸 We enjoyed a shared lunch with quite a pink theme! The baking quiz wasn't as easy as some thought with the question about Snickerdoodle biscuits catching people out. But we had fun. 🙂 Many thanks to the Social Team for making sure it was an occasion to remember. 👏
Grateful thanks to our sponsors and supporters and a big shoutout to freshchoicehalfmoonbay for donating a very generous hamper for the occasion.
We would also like to thank Carolyn Bruce Designs - Statement Jewelry for donating some of her gorgeous work for our fundraiser. đź’•
We were thrilled to raise $1183. 🙏

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
