Downlight Social Enterprise Needs Your Help Now!
🚨 We need your help.
This is more than a sale. It’s a lifeline 💛
Dear Downlights Community,
We’ve always believed in the power of light — not just in the candles we create, but in the lives we help shape through meaningful employment.
Since Covid, Downlights has faced ongoing challenges, and today we’re reaching out to you — our loyal supporters — with open hearts and an urgent request.
We need your help to keep our Social Enterprise alive.
Downlights exists to create inclusive employment opportunities for young adults with disabilities. But right now, we can’t do it alone.
Here’s how you can help:

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
