Volunteers wanted
South Auckland House of Science relies on volunteers to service the primary school students of East/South Auckland. Ways you can help:
- pick up and/or deliver kits
- help process the kits for the next school (cleaning and restocking the consumables in the kits)
We operate on a fortnightly loan system and require help on Thursday, Friday or the following Monday. Here are the dates for Term 2:
18th ,19th May or 22nd May
1st , 2nd or 6th June (Tues)
15th, 16th or 19th June
29th or 30th June
Please email Andrea at southauckland@houseofscience.nz or phone/text 0211297570 for more details. Thanks!
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
