Primary School Students Safety
In recent weeks there has been a number of incidents impacting on the safety of the children going to and from Bucklands Beach Primary school relating to cars reversing out of driveways and dogs not on a leash.
The children come along The Esplanade in the morning from the areas east of Bucklands Beach Road between 8-9am and the reverse direction from 3-4pm. They will energetically pedal their foot scooters at quite a speed so one has to be very careful exiting a driveway as they can be out of sight one second and under your car the next moment.
There was also an unfortunate incident where a young girl fell from her foot scooter after being surprised by a dog running free off leash. Dogs have to be on leash on all public walkways and roads at all times.
We trust that everyone will appreciate this short message and pay just that little bit more attention.
