What are Nearby Neighbourhoods?
Nearby Neighbourhoods are those suburbs that are close to your own neighbourhood. If you choose to, you have the ability to have conversations and share information with neighbours in these neighbourhoods too.
Some reasons you may wish to do this are:
To share crime and safety information that may affect several neighbourhoods.
To help locate lost pets that may have wandered out of your immediate neighbourhood.
To discuss issues that may affect your whole area, or to encourage big turnouts for events such as fundraisers, garage sales or local school productions.
To ask for advice or recommendations from the widest range of people in your community.

How are my Nearby Neighbourhoods determined?
Your Nearby Neighbourhoods have been designed to connect your neighbourhood with those that are closest to you, without creating too large a coverage area. However, please do contact us if you think we could improve these lists as we are happy to review these.

How do I personalise my Nearby Neighbourhoods?
On Neighbourly you can share your posts with and see posts from members in your own neighbourhood as well as your Nearby Neighbourhoods. Nearby Neighbourhoods are the group of neighbourhoods closest to where you live.
If you'd prefer not to see posts from Nearby Neighbourhoods in your newsfeed, simply head to the Nearby Neighbourhoods page in your settings and click the ON button next to each neighbourhood to switch it OFF.
-
Can people outside my neighbourhood view my profile or past posts?
If you wish, your profile and past posts are only viewable to those members within your suburb.
Unless specified in your profile settings, or when you post, your nearby neighbours will be able to see only your name, neighbourhood name, and profile photo.
